Bunny Cookies

Next weekend is Easter and we will be spending that time with my Sister In Law and meeting our new niece Jazlyn who was born this week. Not only is it special because we will be creating precious memories with family but also because of the religious significance of the day for all of us. Since we will be taking a road trip to visit my SIL, I wanted to make some special treats for my sons and nephews to enjoy on the trip over there.     There is no better treat for eating on the road than cookies. Not only are they easy to make, but they are also easy to transport. I'm pretty sure the whole family will love these delicious Bunny Cookies. Everyone, that is, except our niece. She will have to wait until next year when her teeth grow in to sample them!     Lately I have been on a DIY kick and have been researching different ways to make some of our favorite products, or items we use every single day, right here at home.  I was very excited to learn how easy it is to make bars of soap from scratch and how much money it can save you at the supermarket.  The best part is that you can customize them to contain your favorite scents, designs and colors which can really help to bring our your creative and artistic side.    Since Easter is right around the corner, I thought it would be a great idea to create some decorative Easter soaps to really get everyone in our home into the spirit of the season.  You too can make these adorable soaps and I think you will be surprised at how easy they are to make and how little they put a dent in your budget!Easter Bunny Bar SoapMaterials-2 clean empty soup cans 1 clear glass Pyrex measuring cup Clear glycerin soap block Food coloring or soap … [Read more...]

Rice Krispie Treat Chicks

If your kids are like mine, they love Rice Krispie Treats.  I can still remember the looks on their faces the first time they tried them.  Ever since that day, they love for me to incorporate them somehow into each holiday's festivities.  Most of the time I don't complain because, not only are they pretty easy to make, but they taste great too!     This Rice Krispie Treat Chicks recipe is very easy for busy Working Moms to make.  That is why I tried to make this one as easy as possible by including store bought Rice Krispie treats that are already made which makes the whole process a little easier.  All you have to do is buy them at your local grocery store and then carve them according to your health needs.  This is a great snack to eat and go.Ingredients -1 8 ct package of Kellogg's Rice Krispie Treats Wilton yellow gel icing Wilton black gel icing Wilton yellow sprinkles Baby chick cookie cutter *Wilton products are located in the Wilton aisle/section at major … [Read more...]

Celebrate The Start Of Spring With Peeps! @PEEPSANDCOMPANY #Giveaway #Ad

*I participated in this campaign on behalf of Peeps And Company. I received a promotional item to facilitate this review and as a thank you item for participating.  All opinions are my own.    When I think of spring and celebrating Easter, it is always synonymous with PEEPS®.  As far back as I could remember, my siblings and I would look forward to finding our baskets on Easter morning and enjoying all of the delicious and sweet treats in there.  My mother has always loved PEEPS® so we always had their Marshmallow Chicks and Marshmallow Bunnies in our baskets.    Over the years I have noticed that these family traditions are very important to pass down to my own two children.  Ever since they were very little, I have celebrated the start of spring with fun and iconic PEEPS®.  Not only are they essential for filling Easter Baskets, but they are also perfect for garnishing baked goods and adding adorable accents to art projects and decorations.    This year, we added a new … [Read more...]
