The Tale Of The Traveling Blanky #Lysol #Giveaway #Ad

Once your kids get older, you think that they are going to outgrow certain things including taking their favorite blanket everywhere.  That has not been the case for my younger son, he will not sleep or lay down anywhere without his favorite "Blanky" and I am constantly chasing after him to try to keep it clean.  Not only does he drag it all over the house with him but, when he is at school during the day, our dog Onyx will take it and lay on it.  I'm literally at my wits' end when it comes to keeping yucky germs off of it.     Until recently, the only tool that I had in my laundry arsenal was detergent but I have always wondered whether or not his blanket truly gets clean after every wash.  NEW Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer is a revolutionary laundry additive that kills 99.9% of bacteria that detergents may leave behind.  I love that it eliminates bacteria, even in cold water!  Having it in my laundry room has empowered me to finally think that I am protecting my family and that all … [Read more...]

Have Confidence In Your Tap Water! @ZeroWaterFilter #Giveaway #Ad

I have to be honest with you guys, I'm not that confident in our tap water.  It's hard to ignore all of  the reports about chemicals such as Chromium 6 and Lead continuously popping up in the news threatening the drinking water in cities across the country.  Both contaminants are blamed for everything from birth defects and neurological disorders to organ deterioration and cancer.  It's scary to think that my family could be exposed to these toxins from our drinking water.     Most people either purchase expensive water filtration systems or spend billions of dollars on bottled water each year.  If you start to think about how many empty bottles of water you recycle or have lying around in your car you will realize how quickly this expense can add up!  Not to mention all the waste that is being produced from all of these discarded plastic bottles.  Factor in that you're still not getting the purest water possible. There is a better option.     ZeroWater offers an easy-to-use … [Read more...]

Hashtag Soaps

I've been blogging since 2009 and my children have always been a part of my blog and have listened to me talking about blogging over the years.  One day, my mother was explaining to my younger son what the pound symbol is on the telephone keypad when he quickly corrected her and told her she was wrong because that was a "hashtag."     That pretty much opened my eyes to the fact that my kids were paying a lot of attention to my blogging than I gave them credit for.  Not only did my mother and I have a good laugh about it, but my son thought it was incredibly funny too when I explained to him that both he and grandma were right!  This funny encounter was the inspiration for these hashtag soaps. Hashtag Soaps  1 Cup white melt and pour soap block Yellow and blue soap colorant 1/2 teaspoon soap scent 1/2 teaspoon sweet almond oil Clear glass measuring cup Craft stick Small spray bottle of rubbing … [Read more...]

Is Your Family Always Covered? #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Now that we are well into the month of January and starting February tomorrow, I thought I would check in to see how you are all doing with your New Year's resolutions.  Many of you have been exercising like crazy to decrease some of that junk in the trunk while others have been changing other aspects of their life.  My priorities center more around whether my family is "covered" at all times.  After all, who wants to get caught in the bathroom without toilet paper coverage?     I'm pretty sure that I have your attention now because I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten caught with the proverbial pants down due to a short supply of TP.  In our house, I'm pretty sure my children were creating origami with our toilet paper because there never seemed to be enough of it.  If you know anything about kids, you know that they love playing in the bathroom and getting into everything.  I've had every experience from having entire bottles … [Read more...]

Survive Spending The Holidays With Family! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

This Sunday, my entire family will be descending upon our home like a plague of locusts so that we can all celebrate Christmas together.  Don't get me wrong, we all really love each other but we are all also aware that we can get on each other's nerves when we are forced to spend a significant amount of time together.  I'm sure many of you feel the same way about spending the holidays with your family.  You can't live with 'em, and you can't live without 'em!     In our home, our bathroom has become a sort of sanctuary for everyone to get a little breathing room while the rest of the family continues to annoy each other in the living room.  While pulling off a successful holiday gathering can be rewarding, sometimes the only way to recharge your batteries is to hide out in the bathroom and get some much needed peace and quiet.  Whether it be scented candles, reading material, or five-minutes of silence, I'm a firm believer that Charmin … [Read more...]

Be Thankful For A Lot More This Thanksgiving! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Thanksgiving is only two days away and there are so many things to be thankful for this year.  First and foremost, I am thankful for my family and their continued good health and happiness.  My boys are a constant source of pride and love for me and they are my number one priority.  There are, however, a few more humble things that I'm grateful for and one of them is the opportunity to get together with those whom I love to celebrate one another and to enjoy some really delicious food together.      We are going to eat dinner at my sister's house this year and I am so excited that I don't have to cook.  You see, I've always had the task of preparing and organizing the entire meal for most of our family holidays so it will be nice to just show up to eat for a change.  My sister is a really good cook and my aunt will be helping her prepare all the food so we are all really looking forward to stuffing ourselves this Thursday. … [Read more...]

Disney Frozen Party Ideas #QuickerPickerUpper #DisneyFrozen @Bounty #Ad

As a busy Working Mom, I don't have a lot of time to party plan and I especially don't have time for the messy cleanup during and after the party.  Normally, I try to make cleaning up fun for everyone, including the kids, so they won't realize that they are actually helping to get rid of the mess because they are enjoying themselves too much.  Now, you can make clean up quick and fun for the whole family with limited-edition NEW Bounty Prints Featuring Disney Frozen!     Frozen is one of my most beloved Disney animated films and Bounty napkins and paper towels are a staple in our home because they are tough on messes and, in a house full of men, I need all the tough I can get.  Aside from keeping a clean house, I also love to be able to save a little money on party decor whenever possible.  After all, raising a family can be very expensive and it is important to cut corners and not put too much strain on the family budget.     … [Read more...]
