*This is part of a sponsored campaign with Charmin and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own. I consider the bathroom one of the most important rooms in our home. Not only do we all spend a lot of time in there, but it is probably the only place where I can manage to get a few minutes to myself once in a while. Lately, I have been feeling like it needed a few extra touches to make it a more relaxing place. I decided that it would definitely benefit from a Chamomile Makeover! When I found out that America's most popular toilet paper for more than 25 years was launching new Charmin plus the scent of Chamomile I knew that this was exactly what I was looking for to make my bathroom experience a little more special! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the benefits of scented tissue, the way it works is that ach roll has the scent of chamomile added to the tube. It smells so good that you experience a soothing moment that tantalizes all … [Read more...]

Togetherness Defines Today’s Modern Family! #LaFamiliaDeHoy #Ad
*This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson and Latina Bloggers Connect. Last December, Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies revealed the Jiménez family as LA FAMILIA DE HOY™. This family was chosen to represent the family values of the Hispanic community which included being active, multicultural and keeping up with the modern times. Juan, Biviana and their three children: Elisa, Diego and Benicio embody all of these qualities and definitely mirror what my family and I consider to be the epitome of the Latino family. Like the Jiménez family, our family shares a special bond and we find ways to support each other and be there for one another whenever possible. Sometimes this includes making arrangements to pick up each other's kids from school or sharing the cooking responsibilities during family gatherings and dinners. Family is very important to us and we make sure that we teach our younger generation about their roots and … [Read more...]
Celebrating Three Kings Day In Our Family! #JCPenneyLatino #RealLatinoHolidays @JCPenney #Ad
*This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and JCPenney. However, all opinions expressed are my own. We always celebrate Three Kings Day in our family. This year, however, I have decided to spend a lot more time teaching my boys some of our family traditions around this special holiday. It is really important to me that they look back upon this day fondly the way that I do from my own childhood in Spain. My Grandparents always made sure that this day was very special in their home and I want it to be equally special in our house. One of my favorite memories from our family Three Kings Day celebrations is the year that I wanted a special toy called Boti Bota. It was fashioned after a character in one of my favorite game shows and was a toy that you wrapped around one ankle and swung around and jumped over with your other foot. All of the kids in my class had one and I wanted one so badly! Every single day, I reminded my Grandmother … [Read more...]
Start A Holiday Tradition With The 2013 Hess Toy Truck & Tractor! @HessExpress #Giveaway #Ad
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Hess Express. I received a promotional item to facilitate this review and as a thank you for participating. When my siblings and I were little, our father worked in a neighborhood store and would always bring home treats for us to enjoy especially around the holidays. One year, he came home with a few Hess trucks for us to enjoy for Christmas but he explained to us that they were special because he was going to start a family tradition and buy the holiday Hess truck every single year for us to collect. Even then, we understood that this was something special that was going to be shared between us and our father. True to his word, he brought home a new Hess truck every year while we were kids. The best thing was that, although they were collector's items, he never stopped us from playing with them and we spent hours rolling them across the floor and turning their lights on and off. When we received the opportunity to review … [Read more...]
Use Those Holiday Leftovers To Prepare Cultural Masterpieces! #HormelFamily
We are very fortunate to live in a country that is a melting pot for people of all different cultures and backgrounds. Most of us join our family and friends during the holidays to celebrate and to engage in those traditional customs that we have known and loved for many generations. It is very important to celebrate our differences and to share our unique histories with one another, especially during these precious moments. Food has always been a uniting factor when it comes to holiday celebrations. We love to prepare culturally inspired dishes that please our palates as well as showcase the recipes and themes that are familiar to us and have been a staple at family meals for years. Unfortunately, we often prepare well over what we need for these meals and we end up with mountains of leftovers after the holidays. Fortunately, Hormel Foods has some great ideas regarding how you can add a cultural twist to those holiday leftovers that are still in your … [Read more...]
