Enjoy The Fall With Snoopy! @Snoopy #Giveaway #Ad
Fall has finally arrived and everyone I know is busy focusing on back-to-school and working hard. Snoopy would like to remind parents and kids that it's important to take a break from the grueling homework and serious textbooks every so often with these two new and entertaining Peanuts-themed books! The first, called “Hugs for Snoopy,” is a Simon Spotlight novelty board book for kids about hugs with a touchable, lovable plush Snoopy face on the cover! It's perfect for teaching kids how important it is to show love to those who truly matter in their lives. It doesn't matter if you’re happy, sad, lost, or found, nothing warms the heart like a hug—just take it from Snoopy! In this adorable board book, Snoopy earns a hug from Linus, snuggles away the sniffles for Woodstock, and gets caught in a cuddle with Charlie Brown. Now Peanuts fans, young and old, can feel the love, too! In the second book, entitled “Peanuts for Inspiration and Relaxation,” from Posh, adult … [Read more...]
Introducing The Snoopy and Belle In Fashion Exhibit #PeanutsInsiders @Snoopy #Ad
As many of you know, as a Peanuts Ambassador, I often get to enjoy an inside look into everything Peanuts related. This month, we had the opportunity to be part of a conversation with Jill Schulz, the daughter of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz and Melissa Menta, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Peanuts Worldwide LLC, and the producer of the Snoopy and Belle In Fashion Exhibit. According to Melissa, this exhibit is actually a reimagination of an exhibit that first premiered in 1984. A woman who was in charge of spearheading Peanuts merchandise in Japan went to Charles Schulz, or Sparky as he was called, and asked if she could do this exhibit. He said “yes” and she pulled off this amazing feat of getting all the major designers in the world to design outfits for Snoopy and his sister Belle. The original exhibit was called “Snoopy in Fashion.” They were plush dolls dressed by famous … [Read more...]
Rock The Vote With Peanuts! #PeanutsInsiders #Giveaway @Snoopy #Ad
I'm sure many of you have been watching the presidential debates on television and following the election very closely. In our home, it has definitely been a hot topic of conversation and my sons are also very curious about it and have been asking a lot of questions. Although they are not old enough to vote, my husband and I think that it is important for them to get involved. The Peanuts Rocks The Vote initiative is an interactive website designed to allow kids to have fun and to learn about the election process! We love the Peanuts Rocks The Vote site because kids can learn about the different "candidates" and to read up on the issues that matter to each one. Also, the website teaches kids a lot of academic vocabulary that has to do with the election. As a Literacy Specialist, I'm all for expanding kids' vocabularies and increasing their knowledge about current events. Many celebrities including Nikki … [Read more...]

Love And Joy Is In The Air With Peanuts! #PeanutsInsiders #Giveaway #Ad
I cannot believe that this school year is almost over. We are currently planning for eighth grade graduation at the school where I teach. It's going to be bittersweet saying goodbye to my students whom I have taught for the past two years. It's a very exciting time for them as they prepare to embark on new adventures in high school in the Fall. My boys are also wrapping up the school year. Next year, my oldest will be graduating from the eighth grade and my younger one will be in the fifth grade. It's amazing how quickly time passes and how wonderful it is to experience these milestones with them as their mother. Another exciting event that is coming up is that my husband and I will be going away for the first romantic weekend without kids in over 13 years. It has been difficult coordinating a getaway like this one over the years due to parenthood and, in the past two years, due to my younger son's … [Read more...]

It’s An Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown! @Snoopy #EasterBeagle #Giveaway Ad
Spring is just around the corner, which means we’ll be seeing some beautiful flowers including daffodils, cherry blossoms—and the Easter Beagle! Yes, our favorite chameleon beagle will be happily hopping from yard to yard, beagle-ears flapping, delivering brightly colored Easter eggs from his Easter basket. Here are some fun facts about the history of the Easter Beagle: A Hopping Introduction Snoopy first appeared as “the Easter Bunny” on April 14, 1968, but Charles Schulz did not give the character the name “the Easter Beagle” until three years later. In that first 1968 strip, Linus was the only one to witness “the Easter Bunny” dancing around the front yard and hiding eggs in the bushes—Lucy was too busy watching television to notice. On Sunday, April 11, 1971, the Easter Beagle made his official comic-strip debut. Again, Linus was the first one to interact with him (although it’s Lucy who gets the Beagle kiss!). As with the Great Pumpkin, Linus is often … [Read more...]
