*This post was written by me on behalf of Allied Hispanic.  I received complimentary product samples to facilitate this review.  All opinions are 100% mine.     I'm sure I am not alone when I say that Disney's The Little Mermaid is probably one of my favorite animated films from when I was younger.  There is just something about overcoming adversity in order to land your prince charming that appeals to the romantic in every single one of us.  Add to that the fact that Disney opened it's vault especially to release this Diamond Anniversary Edition and I cannot even begin to describe to you how tickled I am!     Transformed for the first time on Blu-ray, we meet Ariel, an independent mermaid who marches to the beat of her own drummer and longs to become a real human.  Unfortunately, she becomes the prey of a cunning sea witch named Ursula who tricks her into striking a deal with the promise of helping her to become a real girl.  This leads Ariel to be catapulted into a new adventure … [Read more...]
