First-Ever On-Demand Bathroom Service in NYC! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

As a longtime resident of New York City, I often head to Manhattan to attend special events or view shows.  Us local peeps refer to it as "Downtown" and we love bragging about how we have the coolest city on the planet.  The only problem is that, when you gotta go, you gotta go.  There is nothing worse than not being able to find a bathroom in the city!     Many businesses post signs stating that their bathrooms are only for paying customers.  After all, who could blame them when thousands of people pass by their storefronts every single day and opening their bathrooms up to the public could quite possibly send them down the proverbial creek without a paddle or some Charmin toilet paper!  So, when visiting New York City for the day you sometimes have to get creative when it comes to copping a squat.     Most people will just bite the bullet and purchase something at whatever store they are close to in order to gain access to their bathroom facilities.  Other people will take … [Read more...]

Is Your Family Always Covered? #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Now that we are well into the month of January and starting February tomorrow, I thought I would check in to see how you are all doing with your New Year's resolutions.  Many of you have been exercising like crazy to decrease some of that junk in the trunk while others have been changing other aspects of their life.  My priorities center more around whether my family is "covered" at all times.  After all, who wants to get caught in the bathroom without toilet paper coverage?     I'm pretty sure that I have your attention now because I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten caught with the proverbial pants down due to a short supply of TP.  In our house, I'm pretty sure my children were creating origami with our toilet paper because there never seemed to be enough of it.  If you know anything about kids, you know that they love playing in the bathroom and getting into everything.  I've had every experience from having entire bottles … [Read more...]

Survive Spending The Holidays With Family! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

This Sunday, my entire family will be descending upon our home like a plague of locusts so that we can all celebrate Christmas together.  Don't get me wrong, we all really love each other but we are all also aware that we can get on each other's nerves when we are forced to spend a significant amount of time together.  I'm sure many of you feel the same way about spending the holidays with your family.  You can't live with 'em, and you can't live without 'em!     In our home, our bathroom has become a sort of sanctuary for everyone to get a little breathing room while the rest of the family continues to annoy each other in the living room.  While pulling off a successful holiday gathering can be rewarding, sometimes the only way to recharge your batteries is to hide out in the bathroom and get some much needed peace and quiet.  Whether it be scented candles, reading material, or five-minutes of silence, I'm a firm believer that Charmin … [Read more...]

Be Thankful For A Lot More This Thanksgiving! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Thanksgiving is only two days away and there are so many things to be thankful for this year.  First and foremost, I am thankful for my family and their continued good health and happiness.  My boys are a constant source of pride and love for me and they are my number one priority.  There are, however, a few more humble things that I'm grateful for and one of them is the opportunity to get together with those whom I love to celebrate one another and to enjoy some really delicious food together.      We are going to eat dinner at my sister's house this year and I am so excited that I don't have to cook.  You see, I've always had the task of preparing and organizing the entire meal for most of our family holidays so it will be nice to just show up to eat for a change.  My sister is a really good cook and my aunt will be helping her prepare all the food so we are all really looking forward to stuffing ourselves this Thursday. … [Read more...]

How Do You Position Your Charmin Roll? #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

The end of September marks the unofficial end of summer in many places throughout the country.  In our home, that means that my husband and son mark the start of their favorite time of the year, football season!  They turn our home into a virtual end zone and spend hours going back and forth about which teams are their favorites and make predictions about who will make it to the big game.       Sometimes, their debates include discussions about the "Over or under" controversy.  In this house we hang with Charmin and all agree on that, however, our opinions differ when it comes to how we hang!  Hubby and I always hang our Charmin Ultra Soft over because we feel that it allows us to get a better grab on the end of the paper and come through with a clutch performance.     Our boys, on the other hand, couldn't care less whether the TP is over or under. Since they always grab more toilet paper than they need, it ends up hanging … [Read more...]

12th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest #TPDress @Charmin #ad

These days, most brides are getting very creative about designing their wedding dresses.  Gone are the days of only being traditional and they have been replaced by a desire to be bold and to be unique.  Nothing screams original louder than wearing a wedding dress made entirely of toilet paper!  Before you laugh at this idea, let me tell you that these dresses are so exquisite that you wouldn't even be able to tell that they were made with TP.       Earlier this month, 10 finalists displayed their work at the contest’s finale event held at Haven Rooftop at The Sanctuary Hotel.  Contestants created dresses out of nothing more than Charmin toilet paper, tape, glue and/or needle and thread, and this year, more than 1,500 entrants were up to the task.  Charmin partnered with Cheap Chic Weddings by providing coupons to help cover the cost of purchasing Charmin toilet paper used in creating each dress. Designers used between … [Read more...]

Charmin Ultra Strong Versus Charmin Ultra Soft! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

This past week, we have had our share of bathroom mishaps including my husband having to rebuild our toilet tank because the flushing mechanism was not functioning properly.  Now that this problem has been resolved, I have been focusing my attention on choosing the perfect toilet paper to go along with our "New" toilet.  You all know that our home's preferred toilet paper brand is Charmin but they offer an Ultra Soft and an Ultra Strong variety, decisions, decisions!     In the normal scheme of things, you might wonder why this is such a monumental decision but I am here to tell you that choosing the right toilet paper can literally change your life!  This is especially true in our home where my husband thinks that he is the ultimate toilet paper connoisseur.  He swears that he has the whole "folding" technique down and that my preference for "sprunching" is inferior.     So let's get down to the nitty gritty!  I'm sure you … [Read more...]

Goodbye Winter, Hello Warm Weather! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Although it seems like some of my friends in Denver still had to deal with some snow this past week, it does appear that spring has finally arrived here in New York City.  It is very apparent by the buds blooming on the trees and the sunny days that we can start to look forward to milder weather.  This means that I will also be very busy swapping winter and spring wardrobes and opening the windows to air out our home.       One thing that will remain constant in our house despite the change of seasons is Charmin toilet paper.  As a matter of fact, we have a cabinet in our laundry room that must be stocked at all times with Charmin Ultra Strong.  My older son is in charge of keeping it full and reminds me whenever we get down to anything less than 3 rolls.  I mean, who wants to get stuck without Charmin during the spring when there are so many fun things to head out and do outdoors?     This past weekend, we actually got … [Read more...]

The Fold Versus Sprunch Debate Continues! #TweetFromTheSeat @Charmin #Ad

It's pretty common for things to get a little zany around here during the holidays.  My husband and I feel like there just isn't enough time in the day to get all of the preparations and plan festivities while working full-time and running around with our boys.  Every year, we find something to debate back and forth about in order to have some fun and tease each other as we run around trying to get everything ready.     This year, we are back to disagreeing about the proper way to handle toilet paper when you are taking care of your business.  Yes, I know, this is a comical topic of conversation but that is what married people who have been together almost seventeen years do, talk about anything and everything.  In our case, since he has always been a folder and I have always been a spruncher, this is not the first time that this subject has come up.     I can still remember it like it was just yesterday, that fateful moment when I … [Read more...]

Men’s Bathroom Etiquette, According To Hubby! #EnjoyTheGo @Charmin #Ad

Last weekend, my husband and I took our boys out to dinner.  Whenever we go out to eat, Hubby always takes our sons to the men's bathroom with him when they have to go. We are definitely helicopter parents and we worry about them being alone with strangers in public bathrooms, but I digress.  Once they returned to the table, my husband proceeded to tell me that a guy in it had broken "Guy Code" when it comes to bathroom etiquette.     Now, let me tell you, I had no idea that there are so many rules for how guys are supposed to behave in the men's bathroom.  According to my husband, everyone knows that you are supposed to skip the urinal next to a guy who is already using one.  It seems the offensive guy in the bathroom had failed to do this and posted up in the next urinal.  This whole rule was news to me because I thought guys basically had no rules for bathroom use.     Apparently, you are not supposed to have any physical … [Read more...]
