As many of you know, my family and I attended a large blogging conference last week in Chicago. This is the second time that I attend a conference and I wanted to have my family with me because I just couldn't bear to be away from them for even one minute. Before the trip, I set personal and professional goals for myself that would keep me focused throughout my stay. My husband and I drove for almost 14 hours to get there and I cannot even begin to describe the excitement that I felt when we finally arrived in the city of Chicago. I felt right at home since I live in a big city myself and I found that there were a lot of parallels between New York City and Chicago right away. I was very fortunate to have had my ticket to the conference sponsored in part by Noodle.org. Our collaboration was a match made in heaven because of my experience being a NYC public school teacher for the past 13 years and the fact that they are the first education search engine. … [Read more...]
We Loved The Hyatt Regency McCormick Hotel In Chicago! @HyattMcCormick #Sponsored
*This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hyatt Regency McCormick Hotel. All opinions are 100% mine. As many of you know, this past week I attended a blogging conference and took my family along for the trip. We had never visited Chicago before and I wanted to make sure that we stayed at the right hotel which would take my family's comfort into complete consideration. Although this trip was a mixture of business and pleasure, my main priority is always making sure that my family is happy whenever we travel. The Reservations Manager of the Hyatt McCormick, Liz, went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met once we arrived in Chicago. I can honestly say that there wasn't an email that I sent her that ever went unanswered and her attention to detail was exemplary. She was very personable and professional and was always available to address any of my questions and concerns before and during our stay at the hotel. Due to the … [Read more...]

As many of you already know, I will be attending a blogging conference in Chicago this year. We have been very fortunate to have the Hyatt Regency McCormick come on board and offer us a discounted stay at their hotel. Since I am taking my family with me on this trip, the most important thing to me was to secure reservations at a hotel that would make them comfortable and see to all their needs. After all, making sure my family is happy is my number one priority whenever we travel anywhere or stay at any hotel. After seeing the images of the Hyatt McCormick online and experiencing first-hand their amazing customer service when I booked our reservations, I was confident that this was indeed the perfect hotel for our visit to Chicago. Why Should You Sponsor Me To Attend A Blogging Conference?
Many companies don't know that Blogging conferences take place all year. They attract thousands of attendees from all over the world to take part in hands-on learning, intellectual discussions, and opportunities to network with brands that understand the importance of working with bloggers to increase their brand visibility. During these conferences, the connections that have been made on social media platforms between bloggers and brands come to life. It is an opportunity to make those crucial face-to-face connections that have been an integral part of business for decades. I attended a blogging conference last year and it allowed me to network and connect with hundreds of other bloggers and brands and helped me create business relationships that have continued to be mutually beneficial even to this day. I would like to secure a sponsor, or multiple sponsors, to attend some of the largest blogging conferences in the United States. Why should your company sponsor me … [Read more...]
We Appreciate Stiletto Media’s #SMLatinas Fiesta Sponsors!
As many of you know, we attended a blogging conference last week and the weekend's festivities were launched by Stiletto Media's Kick Off Your Heels 12' Party at Pio Pio Peruvian Restaurant in NYC. You can read all about what a wonderful time we had here! What many of you don't know, however, is that these types of events would not even be possible without the generosity and support of sponsors. These sponsors are made up of companies or brands who believe in the power of Social Media and who recognize the importance of allowing Latinas and entrepreneurs to network and share ideas. This year we were very fortunate to have a panel of dynamic and successful sponsors who made our fiesta the talk of the town and certainly the talk of the town! Stiletto Media’s Kick Off Your Heels 12′ Party Recap #SMLatinas
As many of you already know, I have proudly been blogging as a member of Stiletto Media for quite some time. I'm proud to be a part of such an amazing and talented group of Latinas and we also know how to get together and have a great time! This year I was invited to attend Kick Off Your Heels 12' which was a held on August 2, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. It was hosted by Stiletto Media at Pio Pio Peruvian Restaurant which is located at 604 10th Ave. between 43rd and 44th Streets in New York City. This event allowed all of us to network with one another and to strengthen our already wonderful relationships while enjoying Latin cuisine and sangria. I cannot even begin to explain to you all how rewarding it was to enjoy this celebratory time with my colleagues in an informal environment without the pressure of professional deadlines or time constraints. I felt like a VIP as I walked to the back of the restaurant and descended a staircase laden with tea candles on every … [Read more...]
Reflecting On My Blogging Conference Experiences!
I had the distinct pleasure of being sponsored to attend a blogging conference this past weekend by Latinos in Social Media (#LATISM.) It was an incredible honor to represent them and to have the opportunity to attend such an amazing conference right here in my own town of New York City. Since I only had a short time to prepare for the event, I frantically searched the internet for posts and articles that would help me to prepare for the weekend. I was worried about everything from what I was going to wear to what seminars I wanted to attend. Although there is a lot of information out there about blogging conferences, I wasn't able to find any one post/article that addressed all of my questions and concerns. Hopefully, I will be able to give you some insight into the conference in this post. Let's first talk about clothing...The truth is that, although there were some women who had on cute outfits with heels during the seminars, the vast majority of the … [Read more...]
Will You Sponsor Me?
I'm sure most of you who are serious Bloggers like I am have already found out that a certain blogging conference is going to take place in New York City next August. Obviously, I don't have to tell you how exciting that bit of news is to me because I live in NYC so it has become entirely possible for me to attend next year. Attending such a prestigious event with my fellow Bloggers would definitely be the culmination of all my hard work on this blog for the past two years. Recently, I wrote a post about how there is some secrecy in the blogging world with regards to monetizing and PR. You can read all about it here. In any case, I am finding out that this is especially true when it comes to what's involved in having a company sponsor you to attend a blogging event. I'm not sure if everyone is afraid that all of the sponsorships will run out if they share the information with other bloggers or if a lot of them really don't know how to go about obtaining a … [Read more...]
