1. Start Each Day with a To-Do List Having a list of tasks that need to get done will keep you from wasting time figuring out what to do next. Create the list based on your own preference – some choose to rate the tasks from most to least important. Others arrange them from easiest to hardest, so by the time they get to the more difficult items they have some momentum going. 2. Take Breaks – and Take them Seriously Give yourself a few minutes to relax for every hour of work. Move away from the computer and try not to think about what you need to do during the break. What Inspired You To Start Blogging?
Take a journey with me back to 2009, if you will. I was 32 years old with a 3 year old and a 6 year old while battling a chronic medical condition. Over the years, I have always considered myself to be a writer and used writing as a way to vent and to express myself. It was a natural progression for me to document this new journey that I was on and blogging about it seemed like a great idea. I can still remember when I wrote my first post. It felt so good to get all of my thoughts and feelings out but I worried about how they would be received and perceived. On one hand, I couldn't believe that anyone would even want to read anything I wrote and, on the other hand, I was terrified of revealing too much of myself and being criticized. As a result, I quickly deleted that first post shortly after I published it. Out With The Old, In With The New…
Many of you have been along with me since the beginning when I began this fateful journey almost five years ago of launching Tough Cookie Mommy. There have been many changes and growing pains during this time that have brought us to present day. I'm blessed to be here to continue sharing my life with all of you and for you to keep wanting to hear about my daily adventures as a consummate juggler. On August 18th, we will be celebrating the five year anniversary of Tough Cookie Mommy and you might be noticing that some changes are already taking place. For one thing, this weekend we launched a brand new blog design to mark the beginning of the next phase in this journey.
