Take @Netflix With You This Holiday Season! #NetflixKids #StreamTeam #Ad

*I participated in a campaign on behalf of Netflix.  As a member of the Netflix Stream Team, I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.     Every Christmas and New Year's, my husband and I try to split our time equally between both sides of the family.  It's important that his family and mine get time to spend with us and our boys.  As a result, we do end up spending some time in the car traveling back and forth.  Additionally, since the grandparents are not that technologically advanced, we appreciate that we can take Netflix with us on our travels to keep the kids engaged and entertained.     We love how accessible our boys' favorite Netflix movies are from our smartphones and their tablets which allows us to bring their TV shows and movies to any destination.  We've put together some of our own beloved holiday titles that you can take to Grandma's this year including Charlie Brown, Thomas the Tank Engine and Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation.  Since … [Read more...]

The Women Of Osage County-Which One Are You? #AugustMoments #Ad ($100 Visa GC #Giveaway)

Disclosure:  This is part of a sponsored campaign with The Weinstein Co. However, all opinions expressed are my own.     During my childhood, I had the pleasure of being raised around my Great-Grandmother Carmen.  She was the epitome of strength and character and had known a hard life working in the fields and giving birth to her children right at home.  Although she was sometimes a bitter pill to swallow, she never backed down from anyone and taught me that women could be brave and fierce.     On the other hand, my Grandmother who raised me, was strong in a different kind of way.  She was never as overbearing and confrontational as Carmen was but she showed me that women could be strong and ladylike at the same time.  Although it seemed to outsiders that my Grandfather was the one calling all the shots in their home, she influenced his decisions behind the scenes and made her voice and opinions be heard subtly.     This December 25th, we will be introduced to the women of … [Read more...]

Go Back In Time Walking With Dinosaurs! #WalkingWithDinosaurs #Ad @JohnLeguizamo

*This post was written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox.  All opinions are 100% mine.     Last weekend, my family and I had the distinct privilege of attending the Walking With Dinosaurs premiere in New York City.  My sons and nephews are big dinosaur fans and they were thrilled to have the opportunity to be transported back in time to a period when they walked the earth.  I'm not sure who enjoyed the film more, our kids or my husband and I.     The thing that makes this film so unique is the fact that, for the first time in movie history, audiences will truly see and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS is the ultimate immersive, big screen adventure for families. Meet dinosaurs more real than you've ever seen as you take off on a thrilling prehistoric adventure, where Patchi, an underdog dinosaur, triumphs against all odds to become a hero for the ages.     One of the things that I really enjoyed about Walking With Dinosaurs, as an … [Read more...]

Achieve The Impossible Dream With Turbo Movie! #Turbo500Today #TurboMovie

*This post was written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation.  All opinions are 100% mine.     This week, my boys and I had the pleasure of attending the advanced screening of the Turbo Movie with some of my fellow bloggers.  Before the screening, bloggers were invited to join 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation at the Turbo 500 Event at the Today Show!     Crews worked around the clock to turn the Today plaza into an Indy 500-style racetrack.  Matt, Savannah, Natalie and Willie were joined by Ryan Reynolds, star of the upcoming animated film "Turbo," to compete in a snail race.  Each competitor played skee ball in order to move their snails up the side of Studio 1A and hopefully win the race!     After the races, bloggers had the opportunity to interview Ryan Reynolds personally and to learn more about him and his role as the voice of Turbo in the Turbo Movie.  He stated that this character appealed to him because he persevered in order to … [Read more...]
