Tips For Making Perfect Pancakes @tfal_cookware #StackedandSticky #Giveaway #Ad

When I was a little girl, I loved eating my grandmother's pancakes.  Whenever I slept over her house, I would ask her to make them for me and they have always been the best pancakes that I have ever eaten.  As an adult, I still have a love of pancakes but since Grandma passed away years ago, I have never been able to replicate her delicious pancake recipe.     Over the years I have tried to perfect my pancake making technique but I honestly have never been able to make good pancakes.  I'm not sure if this was because I wasn't using the right pan or because I wasn't flipping the pancakes at the right time but it has been a total disaster.  When I found out about the new T-fal OptiCook Total Non-Stick Fry Pan, I knew that this would finally be my chance to make the perfect pancake and also make my grandmother proud. Here are some tips I have learned for making the perfect pancakes: Using less pancake mix and more water makes for … [Read more...]

Who Gets The Last Cinnamon Roll? #CinnamonRollSaturday #CinnamonRollSunday @Pillsbury #Ad

The last time that I made Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with my boys, I managed to set aside two for me to enjoy on my way to work the following day.  I honestly thought they would last until the next morning because I wrapped them and stored them in the microwave.  Well, hid them is probably a more truthful statement because I knew if I didn't I would never get even one bite.     You see, in our house, my husband and my sons are addicted to Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls.  When I make them, they never last because my guys gobble them right up.  Due to this, I honestly shouldn't have been surprised when I found out that my husband snuck into my stash and took one of my rolls with him to work since he wakes up earlier than everyone else to go to work.     I was so disappointed when I woke up the next day and saw half of my cinnamon rolls gone that I realized we have to come up with some rules for choosing who will get the last one when I … [Read more...]

Planning Our Snack Sampling Adventure With Smucker’s® #Snackation @Smuckers @Walmart #Ad

Last year, my brother and my sister in law picked up both of my boys and watched them until I got home from work.  Since they recently moved to another state, our boys now have to stay in their school's after-school program for a little while and wait for me to pick them up after work.  Recently, my younger son shared with me that he would like to be able to take special snacks to the program because he gets hungry after being in school all day.     After speaking to him, I immediately knew that we would have to take a trip to our local Walmart to purchase some Smucker's® snacks to allow me to prepare some treats for both of them to take with them every day.  Our family loves going to Walmart because they always have all of our favorite snacks at great prices.  After all, now that my husband and I will be paying for the after-school program too, we appreciate being able to save the extra money.     Of course, our first stop was … [Read more...]

Homemade Meatloaf And Ketchup Recipe

When I was growing up, there were certain recipes that my mother would prepare regularly that she had learned how to cook from her own mother, my grandmother.  Many times, my sister and I would come home from school and sit with her in the kitchen telling her about our day as we helped her prepare dinner.  One of her favorite recipes was for homemade meatloaf and I was always intrigued by how she mixed all the ingredients together in a large bowl and kneaded her hands throughout the mixture to blend them all together.     These are the recipes that I prepare in my own home for my children.  Not only do they remind me of happy times during my childhood, but they also help me to carry on family traditions with my boys.  They also will often descend upon me in the kitchen to tell me all about how their day went at school.  The best part is that they love meatloaf as much as I did when I was a kid and will usually clean their plates when I serve it to them.  Hopefully your family will … [Read more...]
