This is part of a sponsored campaign with P&G and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own. Being a Latina of today means many things to different Latinas. We all juggle diverse roles as mothers, businesswomen, professionals, wives, and daughters. The one common foundation that we all have is our desire to have the best of both worlds by embracing our Latina heritage and culture and taking advantage of the opportunities that being American has afforded us too. For me personally, being a Latina of today means that I have bridged the gap between the traditions of my Latin ancestors and the modern roles and opportunities that Latinas are able to experience in the United States. It means that I can have it all, a family, a career, a business, and a relationship without having to compromise any one of these roles. Also, it allows me to be a strong and independent woman who is not afraid to balance it all and be successful while doing it! … [Read more...]

Celebrate The History Of Latino Americans! @FordEspanol @PBS #LatinosPBS #LatinosFord
This is part of a compensated campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Ford. However, all opinions expressed are my own. Last week, I shared a very special experience with my two sons who are ages seven and ten. We sat down as a family and watched the second episode in the PBS series Latino Americans which kicked off our official celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to spend quality time as a family and to reflect on the many contributions that Latinos have made over the last 500 years. This episode focused on the struggles that Latinos encountered during the World War II years and years that followed the war. Although many Latinos proudly served this country and defended it during the war, they were still discriminated against and had to fight for civil rights during this time. We also learned about how Latinos from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Cuba came to the United States looking for better opportunities for their … [Read more...]

*This post was written by me on behalf of Noosa Yoghurt. I received complimentary product samples to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine. I'm sure I have mentioned this many times over on this blog but, boy are my kids picky when it comes to eating certain foods. A lot of it has to do with their father and I wanting to give them many food choices and, unfortunately when it comes to children, the foods they choose aren't always the best for them. As a result, we have been looking to keep the healthy foods that they like stocked in the fridge. Luckily for us, yogurt is one of my little one's favorite foods so I was thrilled when we were presented with the opportunity to review Noosa Yoghurt! I was hoping to finally find a yogurt that my older son would like too. I had never heard of Noosa Yoghurt before so I went about learning everything I could about them since my boys were going to eat their yogurt. They make an Aussie style yogurt which is made … [Read more...]

*This sponsored post was written by me on behalf of Pampers and Latina Mom Bloggers. All opinions are 100% mine. This past Summer, I had the opportunity to reflect on the love, sleep and play that I witnessed and experienced as a new mother when I had both of my sons. Pampers launched a program to celebrate the profound impact that parents experience when they see their babies engaging with the world around them for the first time. Parents all across North America were prompted to share photos of their babies experiencing love, sleep, or play. Last week, Pampers united babies from across the country to celebrate this campaign in a star-studded event in New York City's legendary Grand Central Terminal and I had the pleasure of attending. Pampers received more than 30,000 photo submissions of babies enjoying love, sleep, or play and they compiled the images into a huge 3-D projection. Expectant mothers, actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and Mexican actress, mom and TV … [Read more...]

A Whole New Generation Of El Chavo Fans! @ElChavoToys #Giveaway #Sponsored
*This post was written by me on behalf of Jakks Pacific. I received a product sample to review. All opinions are 100% mine. Growing up, most Latino kids knew and loved El Chavo. He spoke our language, made us laugh with his funny antics, and taught us about friendship. It didn't matter whether you lived in New York City or Miami, we all felt connected to his kind heart and his enthusiasm. We also loved the rest of his quirky friends and his many unforgettable catchphrases such as "Eso, eso, eso!" (Thassit!, thatssit!, thassit!) What many people don't know is that El Chavo was also a global phenomenon and is beloved internationally as much as he is here in the United States. El Chavo is the number one family property for Latinos and the most profitable entertainment franchise in the Spanish-speaking world. Today re-runs of El Chavo del 8 are watched worldwide in over 90 countries, including the United States, Latin America, Brazil, and Spain. For those of … [Read more...]
