    We put our tree up Thanksgiving night. We bake Christmas Cookies on Christmas eve.

    In my family holidays start in mid-Oct. and go through the new year. It is a great time for family and friends. We start our Christmas shopping after Halloween. We start decorating for Christmas the week before Thanksgiving and in the old days the girls and I would brave black Friday, now it is more Cyber Monday.I love the house all lit up. The second week in December we start baking cookies and treats. This truly is my favorite time of the year. When the kids were little we used to drive around looking at all the Christmas lights.

    We decorate the tree and bake cookies and every year I give a new tree ornaments to the kids.

  7. We have the kids take turn each year placing the angel on top of the tree, We have a few kids so they do not do this often. We also put the tree up on Black friday after shopping. Hot cocoa and candy canes while watching Christmas movies is a favorite too.

  8. My family has started new traditions recently. We are skipping a lot of fussy old things and doing things that bring us joy, like playing Minute It to Win It type games.

    They make the best hams. I always get a HoneyBaked Ham for Christmas and Thanksgiving. They also make great side dishes.

    One of the traditions I love with my family is dressing up in our PJs on Christmas eve!
