Bring Your Kids To A NY Liberty Game! #ShowUp @NYLiberty @KidzVuz #Ad

NY Liberty

disclosure

Last week my family had the pleasure of going to see a NY Liberty game at Madison Square Garden.  Although we are native New Yorkers, we don’t often get to go cheer on our home teams due to our everyday work and school schedules.  Thankfully, the summertime is the perfect time to share these activities together.

My husband, father in law and son all decided that they would go see the game together since they are all huge basketball fans.  It was so sweet to see three generations of the men in this family heading out to watch the NY Liberty do their thing.  The Liberty have qualified for the WNBA Playoffs in 13 of its 19 years.  This is a fact that my son won’t let me forget.

NY Liberty

Led by Head Coach Bill Laimbeer, the Liberty are determined to improve on last year’s performance with top WNBA talent like Tina Charles, Epiphanny Prince and Essence Carson, veterans like Swin Cash and Tanisha Wright, as well as new faces in rookies Kiah Stokes and Brittany Boyd.  It’s so exciting to introduce my son to legendary female basketball players to add to the list of male players that he already admires.

Our tickets included pre-game shoot around access.  My family had the opportunity to enter the arena to watch the players warm up an hour before the doors opened to the public.  My husband loved being able to see both teams warming up on each side of the court before the game and witnessing their routines and repetitions.  He shared with me that these skills are what keeps them in the top of their game.

NY Liberty

The NY Liberty defeated the Seattle Storm that evening and my guys were all smiles when they came home.  It was the perfect way to spend some quality time together as a family.  The team thrives on the crowd’s energy, and the fans leave the arena inspired by the game and these world-class athletes.
