We are a family of four and it’s very important that we have a comfortable and roomy car because we spend a lot of time in our vehicle. On any given day, we will be on the road on our way to our son’s basketball games or heading to a weekend vacation or getaway. When we heard that we would have the opportunity to check out the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, we couldn’t be more excited!
The new Pacifica is available in both conventional and plug-in-hybrid versions and fully loaded with the kind of technology that a techie family like ours can really appreciate. It’s rear entertainment system has twin 10-inch touch screens, wireless connectivity to smartphones for app mirroring, built-in games, several USB ports for charging devices, and HDMI connectivity. As if all that wasn’t enough, it also boasts a 360-degree camera view and automatic parallel and perpendicular parking. Can you imagine a vehicle that practically parks itself?
We especially love that the Pacifica has a much larger interior than the old Town & Country, with some 200 cubic feet of total interior volume, and a capacious 140.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the first row. Chrysler’s popular Stow ‘N Go seating is available, with seats that fold into the floor. They are new and improved seats that have wider and softer cushions and are easier to fold down and stow. If you have ever gone grocery shopping or packed a car for a long road trip, you will definitely appreciate the ability to create more storage space at your convenience. This definitely is not the kind of minivan that our parents were accustomed to back in the day!
Although my husband and I both fell in love with the new Chrysler Pacifica, as a mom I have to admit that I fell in love with the optional in-van vacuum system because it allows you to really get into all of those crevices within the seats where kids drop food and crumbs. I’m already having visions of driving around a clean car despite being the mom of two strapping boys. Not to mention cleaning up after my husband but, shhhh, that will just be our little secret!

I also like that the Pacifica has a much larger interior than the old Town & Country. I may look into this model when I need a new van in a few years.
We’re headed to the Chicago Auto Show to see this one. I hope it is a major upgrade from their old line, I’d love my next one to be US made.

I would like the extra room this vehicle offers. I’m not sure I’d be able to see around the vehicle though.
I like how roomy this appears! I bet I could fit my son’s wheelchair into the trunk/cargo area without having to dismantle it to a thousand pieces! That would be so convenient.

That is one beautiful vehicle! It really does have all the bells and whistles and I love that it comes as a hybrid. It is too large for me (I am single) but I will be looking for a car soon and now I know to check out the Chryslers!
This is such a pretty roomy car that I would love to get and drive my family all over the place. I think Chrysler is making some really good cars. And this is one that looks great.
