I make no secret of the fact that my family and I eat out a lot. Since I am a Working Mom and a business owner, I often don’t have time to cook every single day so we head out to our favorite restaurants. This past week, we had the opportunity to visit Denny’s to check out their new kids Adventure Menu which includes a delicious selection of customizable dishes and National Geographic Kids content.
My son immediately loved Denny’s interactive menu featuring a variety of quirky animal facts, quizzes and fun fill-in stories. My husband and I loved that he was engrossed in the menu’s adventures as we waited for our meal to arrive. Those of you who are parents understand the importance of keeping kids engaged when they are impatient at a restaurant and eager to eat right away.
The fact that Denny’s Adventure Menu is customizable was also music to our ears because our eight year-old is a picky eater and he likes to eat the same foods all the time. The new Denny’s kids menu offers explorers plenty of delicious all-day options to take my son’s taste buds on an adventure, including several items verified by the Kids LiveWell program, created by the National Restaurant Association, so that he can select healthier alternatives for a meal that is both balanced and delicious.
Denny’s three breakfast dishes, starting at just $3.29, give kids the fuel they need to tackle any expedition with items such as the Build Your Own Jr. Grand Slam and Chocolate Chip Pancakes. When it comes to lunch, dinner or dessert, kids are in control with choices such as the Spaghetti meal with broccoli, Mac & Cheese with dippable veggies or the Groovy Mango Smoothie.
Although my son opted to eat his go-to favorite which is pizza, he chose the Apple Dunkers instead of french fries. Actually, the french fries you see in the photo below were for me because, well it’s Denny’s and their fries are delicious! He also got to build his own JR. Sundae with hot fudge and cookie pieces. Unfortunately, he gobbled it up so fast that I didn’t have time to take a photo of it!
Launched nationwide, Denny’s “Adventure Menu” is available all day, every day with prices starting at just $3.29; the menu includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert items. Make sure you head there with your kids and take a walk on the wild side!
Let’s Discuss: What do your kids like to eat when you go out to eat with your family?
