As I’ve mentioned before on Tough Cookie Mommy, game night is extremely important to our family because it allows us to spend time together and to enjoy each other’s company away from the hustle and bustle of the week.  We are working parents and our boys are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities which make it challenging to get that quality time in as a family on a regular basis.

We think game night should be a weekly routine and KFC is now helping us make that happen!  Not only is the guesswork taken out of figuring out what I’m going to make for dinner that night, but I also get to engage in one of my favorite activities which is promoting reading and writing in our home.  As a Literacy Specialist, I’m all for activities that promote literacy skills in our children.

Right now, you can get a free I Spy game when you buy a 12 piece tender meal or larger with 2 large sides, 4 biscuits, and 4 sauces.  A meal like that is perfect for our family of four on a Friday night.  The best part is that the bonus I Spy posters that are included give families a reason to engage in dialogue with one another over dinner.  This is a great way to communicate with your children and to stay current on what is going on in their lives on a daily basis.

Make sure you plan your next family game night with KFC and play the I Spy game while enjoying dinner together.  You will realize, just as we have, that there is no better way to enjoy each other’s company and to help us slow down from our normally busy schedules!

Let’s Discuss:  How do you make time to enjoy game night with your family after a long and busy week?

We do game nights on Sundays a lot. It’s our one day per week that we set aside to make sure we all spend time together as a family!

We do game nights on Friday and I have never thought to do take out for them. We do KFC way more than we should though – a couple times a month. It is their fault because the original recipe has been a favorite since I was a child!

  4. Well, we are not much for games at our house – just my hubby and me, and we are a little too competitive with each other on games LOL But we do enjoy working in the yard or passing time on the patio together 🙂 We might just leave it at that LOL

  5. We try to do a game night at least once a week, especially in the winter. In the summer we spend most of our evenings outdoors though!

I love family game time! We always use Saturday night as the day to get together after a busy week to sit down and hang out. Wiether we play games or watch movies, we always get together on Saturdays. I haven’t been to KFC in years. All the ones in our area are fixing to go out of business.
