Soccer is a beloved sport in our home. My husband and I are both of Latin descent and we have lived in our native countries of Spain and Puerto Rico where fútbol is the national pastime. Every four years when that big soccer tournament comes around, we really enjoy predicting which teams will make it to the end and, of course, cheering for our own countries’ teams.
This past week, we all got together at my mother’s house to watch Spain play. Unfortunately, they were unable to win and move forward in the competition. Although we were all disappointed, we still managed to have a great time together and to enjoy each other’s company along with some great food. I normally arrange with my family members a list of dishes that each person will bring when we get together to watch soccer games.
One of my favorite things to do when I am creating recipes to enjoy with my loved ones is to infuse some latin flavor into some of the traditional foods that we eat here in the United States. A big staple in our home is KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese because our boys absolutely love it! I have to admit that I like it too because it is a versatile food that can be prepared many different ways.
Macaroni & Cheese is always delicious when I need to make easy party food and my husband also likes to use it as a side dish when he is planning a family cookout. It was so convenient to head to Walmart and stock up on a 5 pack of original flavor KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner. This was the perfect amount to feed all my hungry siblings and nephews! Check out my recipe which is so easy that you can make it at home too.

For this week’s soccer game viewing party at Mami’s house, I prepared my famous and yummy Veggie Mac & Cheese Combo. It’s a great way to combine some really good flavors and to get the kids to eat their veggies because they are mixed with their favorite food which is Macaroni and Cheese. You’d be surprised how quickly you can get kids to eat vegetables when there is Mac & Cheese involved.
It goes without saying that any good soccer viewing party must have some beverages to go along with my delicious Veggie Mac & Cheese Combo. What would make the Pareja Perfecta or Perfect Pair?
I knew right away that Capri Sun’s new Clear Bottom Pouch would be the perfect drink for everyone because it’s so easy to see exactly what flavor is in each pouch without making a big mess. Believe me, when family gets together to cheer on their favorite soccer teams, things can get messy really quickly!
Let’s Discuss: What are some of your favorite recipes for making while gathering the family around for watching soccer or other sports?

We are big on football in our house and always make things like nachos and other apps for the games on Sundays!
I never thought to add veggies to our Mac and cheese. We don’t eat Mac and cheese very often (at least not the boxed kind) but that is a great idea!
I love how quick and easy this meal is to make. I am going to try making this for my family.
Nice recipe thanks for participating in the #GolazoKraft shop #client
This is a great way to keep costs down and create a unique dish, too! We like to make homemade pizzas to enjoy when there’s a good game on!
We aren’t sports fans but when we get together making homemade pizza is a fun treat.
We’re not really into watching sports but for TV watching simple easy meals are best. Mac an cheese is always a good choice no matter what’s on TV.
My boys love Kraft Mac & Cheese, they usually use the single serve cups though. I never thought to add anything to it – not sure if they would let me!
How can you not like Kraft? We eat tons of that! Amber N
My sons would live on Mac & Cheese if I let them! Was totally my favorite when growing up, too. Love your recipe, will have to try it soon! The veggies would make me feel better about letting them have this treat more often 🙂
That’s a great addition to Mac & Cheese.
I enjoy making dips and easy to grab finger foods for sporting events. Things like meatballs and chicken fingers work really well also.
I love the Veggie Mac & Cheese combo that would go down well with my lot.I love anythign that is easy at the time of the matches lol.
I love the addition of veggies! My son doesn’t like cheese but loves mac and cheese. Go figure right?!?
We love the Capri Sun roaring waters! Thanks for the ideas!
We are on a low processed food diet, but I bet this would be just as good with fresh steamed broccoli and homemade macaroni and cheese!
Oh yum yum I love macaroni and cheese so anything to do with it gets a huge thumbs up from me 🙂 x
We don’t watch sports very much at my house but we love snacking on raw or roasted vegetables.
Cooking for a crowd is always tough when deciding what to bring. Looks like you picked something everyone would enjoy together. Great Job!!
It looks delicious, had to pin it so I can make it when we get back home. 🙂
I love broccoli in mac and cheese, looks so good!! When we watch sports, I like serving cocktail meatballs, pigs in a blanket, a veggie plate with dip and chips. 🙂
You can never go wrong with Mac & Cheese, I like the addition of broccoli.
One of my favorite seasonings is Adobo, I buy it any time I run out. I love this combination with broccoli.
