Last week, I shared with you all that we would be hosting a Frito-Lay and Skylanders home gaming party. Frito-Lay and Activision recently gave families the chance to choose and name a new Skylanders character which will appear in the upcoming video game, Skylanders Trap Team™. It’s not every day that our boys have the chance to vote for the first-ever fan-selected Skylanders Hero!
Family parties in our home are very special occasions because it allows us to spend quality time with one another and to share common interests. In this case, since we are huge Skylanders fans, we are thrilled to be voting for our favorite hero finalist!
Fans 13 and over can VOTE for their favorite next Skylanders Game character all day, since voting ends today, from the three Skylanders Trap Team™ hero finalist names and their fan-submitted inspirations. They are:
- “Bat Spin” submitted by Kimberly Josey from Charlotte, N.C., is a witch tasked with saving the underworld from trolls to prove worthy of joining the Skylanders heroes.
- “Flip Wreck” submitted by Noel Foster from Clearwater, Fla., is imagined as half-dolphin and half-shipwreck, unlike any Skylanders the world has ever seen.
- “High Five” submitted by Phylicia Nakamoto from Elk Grove, Calif., is the fifth son of the Royal High Flying Dragonflies. Famous for his great speed, this hero can fly higher and faster than any other dragonfly in Skylanders.
During our party, we had the chance to enjoy some snacks from the Frito-Lay Flavor Mix 20-count variety pack which, for a limited time, are offering $10- off coupons for Skylanders SWAP Force™ Starter Packs! It was so exciting to see our boys using their imaginations and embarking on new adventures with the Skylanders and the SWAP Force. They were able to mix and match their SWAP Force characters’ tops and bottoms to create their own epic battles.
As you can see from our photos, we had an awesome time together and what made the evening so special was having Skylanders to foster our sons’ creative sides and encourage pretend-play. Also, no party can be complete without some Frito-Lay and Pepsi fun snacks and beverages. Be sure to vote for your favorite finalist Skylanders character by VOTING HERE!

My boys LOVE the Skylanders, so they would be thrilled if I threw a Skylanders party! Fruit snacks would be high up on the list of things they need LOL.

This sounds like fun. My son and his friends would love a Skylanders party. I know that Doritos and other snacks would be gobbled up quickly too!

I have girls and they think sylanders are ‘gross’ lol, but any gaming party over here consists of tents (so lots and lots and lots of chairs and blankets), chips and popcorn, and wine for mama 🙂 Looks like you guys had fun!

My youngest is the biggest Skylanders fan, we play it all the time and I am sure he would love to get to choose the name of the characters. We also have Skylander parties and with my addiction to Chili Cheese Fritos – Frito Lay is always there!
