Those of you who are long-time readers of Tough Cookie Mommy know that my family often keeps a very hectic schedule. Between juggling work, taking care of the home, and driving our boys to their many activities, we often have to regroup and make sure we make time for those moments that truly matter. Spending family time together is very high on our list of priorities and we are always looking for ways to enjoy each other’s company.
The thing is that you don’t always have to spend a lot of money when you are planning some fun times with your family. Something as simple as planning a family game night can guarantee you all have hours of fun together which is what really matters at the end of the day. Since Friday evenings are usually open for all of us, we planned a competitive game of Scrabble from Hasbro which is one of my favorite games since I am an English teacher.
My younger son helped me set up the game as we waited for my husband and my older son to arrive. We even decided to play a little game just between the two of us and, as you can see, my son was serious about beating his mommy! It makes me so happy to see him forming words with the tiles and asking me questions about the other words that he is trying to form. This time was definitely important bonding time between the two of us and we continued to bond when the rest of my family arrived.
This is why I love Hasbro, they have so many games and toys to promote spending quality family time together. This past weekend, we even pulled out the Nerf Sports Bash Ball for the kids to play with during our family barbecue and it was a huge hit! Not only did they spend hours playing with it because it has 3 hand holds so you can whip it hard, kick it, or slam it for the score!
Make sure you check out all of the fun Hasbro games and Nerf products to help plan your next family activity. They will help you put the “Family” back into family time!
Let’s Discuss: What are some of the ways that you like to spend quality time together with your own family?

In addition to a lot of day trips & outings, we also do game nights about once a week. Playing games is a fun way to spend time together as a family!
I haven’t played scrabble in many, many years. What a fun game and family night.
I love playing games I have to admit, sadly scrabble drives me mad or at least it used to as I can’t spell for toffee 🙂 x
For me movie night is a fun way to spend time with my son.
We love scrable and playing games, we play a lot of word games.
I loved playing Scrabble when I was a kid. Game night is a fantastic way to spend some quality family time.
I used to love playing Scrabble. I still like it, but I haven’t played it in forever.
We love to go on family walks together (with our dogs) and have pancake breakfast together as a family.
Growing up, Scrabble was a family favourite. The Kids (4 yrs old) have just started to play dominos so we’ll get there some day. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I used to love scrabble so much! I love that Hasbro still has board games for family game nights. I would hate to see that tradition getting wiped out by video games
I love scrabble, I play it all the time with my family.
Hasbro is really the authority on games! We like to play almost any kind of card game – we’re stuck on Skip-Bo these days 🙂
I love to play board games with my parents. My favorites are The Stock Market Game and the Murder She Wrote game.
Family game night is a favorite with my guys, too. I’m really looking forward to summer, I love having the kids home and being able to plan lots of family outings.
Looks like we need to start planning more family game days together! Scrabble is always a fun game to play. Since most of our children are young we like to spend days at the park together. Our oldest son likes to play basket ball with daddy and our youngest kids like to play on all of the fun play sets.
We have family game night. Actually we just had it tonight. We played checkers, memory, go fish and rockem sockem robots. My son and I had a great time. I love the little moments we get together to just have fun and let loose.
Board games are awesome to get the family together, and word games like Scrabble are even better to help them learn while they are playing. Planning a family game night is such a great idea!
Love family game night! My kids adore playing games and it is always a ton of fun
Hasbro does have some of THE best board games for family time. I love playing board games, and most of the rest of the family does as well!
This looks like a great game! I’ll be sure to check it out when my little guy is old enough to play.
My sons are grown and I miss playing games with them. It is really such a fun way to spend real quality time with your kids. Hasbro has always been one of my favorite companies that make fun games and toys.
Oh wow. Looks like a lot of fun. My family also like a good game night. Right now we are into ticket to ride for the older girl and skip bo for the younger.
Scrabble is my all-time favorite game! I can’t wait until my son is old enough to play well. In the meantime, we love lots of other Hasbro games.
I haven’t played scrabbles with my son yet! We tend to spend time together when we go to the parc or just cuddling!
I play scrabble on facebook – not exactly the same. I should start playing games like this with my kids more often (rather than once or twice a month)
we like to have movie nights and occationally play board games together
