As many of you know, I am a six year Leukemia Survivor and I have had to learn very quickly how to advocate for myself when it comes to my medical care and treatment. Since I depend on life-saving medications for my survival, it is very important that I have a reliable and affordable pharmacy to fill all of my prescriptions. Aside from that, I also look for great customer service and convenience since I am a busy Working Mom who juggles many roles on a regular basis.
When it comes to having an overall better pharmacy experience, Target offers some great features that I personally look for when choosing a pharmacy. I have some personal favorites that fit into my lifestyle and make life much easier for me on a daily basis. I’m not very good at keeping track of my pharmacy rewards. My husband jokingly refers to the fact that I’ve cost him millions in lost rewards over the years!
Unlike other complicated pharmacy rewards programs, Target Pharmacy Rewards tracks your expenses and after only 5 prescription fills, and even vaccinations, you will receive 5% off a whole day of shopping (in-store and online) in addition to Target’s already low prices. I really like the idea of using my rewards and getting a discount on my overall shopping instead of being told how I can use them.
Their $4 generics really fit our budget around here too. We are all on maintenance medications for asthma and all of our combined prescriptions can get quite pricey when you add up all their co-payments. Being able to save that much money on the generic equivalents of our medicines lets us use our money on other things that the family needs.
These benefits really make my life easier as a patient and a consumer. Since I’m a very busy mom, being able to transfer to Target Pharmacy without a hassle is very convenient. In case all of the reasons that I mentioned above are not enough to convince you to head over to Target Pharmacy for all your prescription needs, you should probably know that they were also ranked highest in customer satisfaction among mass merchandiser pharmacies by J.D. Power.
Along with being recognized for its excellent customer service and features, Target Pharmacy makes lives easier for people like me who have enough to worry about with taking care of their health. It’s nice to know that when it comes to taking great care of me, Target Pharmacy has me covered!
Let’s Discuss: What are some of the benefits that you look for in your pharmacy experience?

I like good customer service, great hours and I hate long lines. I like the service team to go above and beyond to help me if I have any questions.
What I can not stand with a pharmacy is making me wait a long time in line to pick up medication. Also rude pharmacy employees are not good. But I mostly look for low prices becasue I have to pay for some of my medications, and having low priced generics like Target does saves me so much money.

The doctor did not catch it and I had no idea. I loved knowing they were looking out for our well being. We just moved and I hope to find another pharmacy like the one we had – I will definiltey check out Target.

I have to check first and foremost that they have my meds. The local small pharmacy nearest my home does NOT carry some of my meds so I have to go to Rite Aid to get those items. They consistently have it and usually always have it ready when promised. which is important to me.I’m glad Rite Aid is always consistent with my meds but sometimes it does make me feel sad for the smaller pharmacy because we are two generations with the same pharmacist and he really knows everyone in the family and is always willing to go the extra mile for us. I wish I could meld both of them together sometimes and make one big store. With the right meds that the bigger one has and the personalized service and family vibe that the smaller one has! I have never tried Target’s Pharmacy but would like to I walk over there a lot anyways this way I could kill off two birds with one stone!
