Submit Idea To Improve Your Community! #StateFarmAyuda #SFNeighborhoodAssist @StateFarm #Ad

*This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and State Farm.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Recently, I shared with you all how you could make your community a better place.  State Farm Neighborhood Assist wants to help you breathe new life into your neighborhood!  By submitting your ideas around making local Hispanic communities better places to live in, you will be entered for the chance to win $25,000 to realize those dreams.  I’m very excited to announce that submissions are NOW being accepted until the first 4,000 submissions have been received – on or before March 23rd!  ¿Qué esperas?

I can’t even begin to describe to you how much I would be able to do with that money by way of improving the community around the school I teach in.  Many of my students and their families struggle financially and they do not have a safe place in the community to go to after they leave school.  ¡sería un sueño hecho realidad!

My dream would be to use the grant to fund a community center to expose these kids to music and the arts.  Additionally, they could learn about proper nutrition there and engage in sports and other physical activities.  Thanks to State Farm Neighborhood Assist® grants, now my ideas and the ideas of many others looking to improve their neighborhoods can be brought to life.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:

  • Submit your ideas for causes via the free State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook app.
  • When a maximum of 4,000 cause submissions are received by the deadline of March 23 or earlier, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board will  identify the top 200 based on a scoring rubric.
  • The top 200 causes will then be announced on April 28 and anyone who has the free Facebook app can vote for their favorite causes with up to 10 votes per day until May 16.
  • The top 40 vote-receiving causes will then each receive a $25,000 grant to help address the submitted cause.
  • The top 40 vote-receiving causes will be announced via the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook app on May 27.

As an educator, I am proud to share this opportunity with all of you.  After all, we are all invested in making our communities the best possible places for our children to grow up.  State Farm is committed to assisting and empowering neighborhoods across the United States and Canada to be the very best that they could be.  Submit your cause NOW before time runs out and the 4000 submissions have been received!

Let’s Discuss:  How would you use the $25,000 from State Farm Neighborhood Assist to improve your community?
