Let’s be honest, if you are a busy mom like I am, you don’t have a lot of time to prepare breakfast in the morning.  Between getting the kids ready for school, feeding the dog and getting myself ready for work there just isn’t a lot of time to cook a hot breakfast.

As a result, I am always looking for easy breakfast options to make sure that my family’s day starts off with the proper nutrition.  One of our favorite meals for breakfast is an omelette because you can fill it with all of your favorite ingredients.  Thanks to Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles and some resourcefulness on my part, I think I have finally figured out how to make a delicious omelette for moms on-the-go!

SWISS SAUSAGE OMELETTE

Ingredients:

Jimmy Dean fully cooked sausage crumbles

100% liquid egg whites

Sliced Swiss cheese

Butter

RECIPE:

  • Put butter into heated frying pan until it melts and evenly spread the butter around the pan.
  • Pour liquid egg whites into the pan and let cook until there is no more liquid left.
  • Flip omelette and make sure both sides are golden brown.
  • Sprinkle Jimmy Dean fully cooked sausage crumbles on one side of the omelette and lay Swiss cheese slices on top of the sausage crumbles.
  • Let ingredients cook until cheese is melted and then fold omelette over into a half-moon.
