Tips For Planning A Dinner Out With The Family! @RedLobster #BestLobsterFest #Ad

*This is part of a sponsored campaign with Being Latino and Red Lobster.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

One of my favorite things to do with my family is to go out to dinner.  Due to our busy schedules, we plan regular dinner dates to reconnect with one another and to enjoy each other’s company.  My boys really like going out to eat and I also use the opportunity to reinforce good table manners as well as the proper way to behave when out in public.  We enjoy frequenting some of our favorite restaurants during these dinners and one of the restaurants at the top of our list is Red Lobster.

Having grown up in a fishing town in Spain, I know what good seafood tastes like and I like to enjoy it with my husband and my boys.  Now that Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest event is back, we can enjoy some our favorite lobster selections from their new and classic dishes.

In addition to guest favorites like Lobster Lover’s Dream® and the Ultimate Feast®, there are three new entrees to try:

  • Dueling Lobster Tails: A roasted Maine lobster tail topped with tender shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce paired with a golden-baked Maine lobster tail with crab-and-seafood stuffing. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.
  • Lobster in Paradise: A split Maine lobster tail fried in their signature coconut batter, spicy grilled shrimp and a lobster-and-shrimp bake topped with toasted crushed macadamia nuts.
  • Ultimate Surf and Turf: A Maine lobster tail baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing paired with a peppercorn-seasoned grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat in a citrus-hollandaise sauce. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.

Red Lobster allows us to enjoy lobster all year but, during LobsterFest, they also provide weekday offers for families to take advantage of throughout the celebration.  They have us covered as far as delicious seafood that we can enjoy at great prices but I still have to make plans to fit going out to dinner as a family into our hectic weekly schedule.

Here are some tips that I personally follow, and that you can use with your family, to plan a successful dinner out:

  1. Make sure you let your kids know in advance that you are going out to dinner.  Children don’t always react too well to being surprised with dinner plans at the last minute.
  2. Set out everyone’s dinner outfits in advance so they are not scrambling around trying to figure out what to wear.
  3. If you have small children, make sure you call ahead to reserve a table that will accommodate room for a high chair and possibly a stroller.
  4. Don’t make dinner plans too late in the evening as cranky and tired children and restaurants don’t mix too well.
  5. Most restaurants offer access to their menus online so you can plan for the meal that you will have after perusing all of their meal options.

Make sure you visit Red Lobster and try their new Lobsterfest entrees!  They are so delicious that they will give you and your family even more reasons to love going out to dinner and eating lobster!

  1. We actually eat out a lot. I hate cooking, so we end up at restaurants a few times a week. We had lunch out yesterday as a matter of fact.

  2. Red Lobster is one of the places that my Mom and I frequent for lunch very often! I didn’t realize it is Lobster Fest time –guess where I will be eating lunch this weekend! The reason my Mom loves Red Lobster-other then the delicious food and those yummy biscuits-is that they actually give you a separate bread plate!!

  3. We took Malik to @RedLobster on the 1st for his 18th birthday and it had been years since the last time we ate out as a family. The foods and waitstaff were great as I remember even if it took almost an hour to be seated – hey, it was Saturday night at a very popular spot!

I LOVE Red Lobster. It’s also my sons and husbands favorite place to eat. I am a HUGE fan of their shrimp trio and it is the only dish I ever eat there but my husband likes to switch it up and he has not a complaint.

  5. My husband and I went to Red Lobster just yesterday. We got a babysitter for our kiddos though.Although, we usually take them with us because they love Red Lobster, but it was nice to go out on a date night without them for once. The food was delicious and the service was superb. I think a great tip when taking children out to eat is to be prepared. I usually bring a toy and a paci for my baby and stuff a mini toy car in there for my boys.

  6. Oh man…those pictures just made me hungry! Red Lobster is SO good! I love all your tips too…definitely things we need to consider when going out to eat with my toddler.

  7. Noooo sorry i do not like lobster alive or dead lol…we do not dine out much as we like to be at home so we can eat as we like and have the drinks we like which are cheaper than buying in some places.

  8. We have a Red Lobster in the next town over and it’s always soooooooooooooooooo crowded. I figured it must be good because even on weeknights there’s a wait to get in. 🙂

  9. So jealousof you growing up in a fisher town in Spain! Extra yummy!
Always enjoy photos of your boys!
Red Lobster is totally an option for us. Not much on planning tips here, we really get in the car and go!!!

  10. My husband would love the Dueling Lobster Tails. We like to try to have family dinner out about once or twice a month. We try to schedule it with my sister and her family also. We enjoy just getting together and spending time with each other.

  11. I love Red Lobster! And we have a gift card to there, thanks for reminding me! My best tip is to sign up for emails from the restaurants you like to go to. They’ll send you coupons!

  12. mmmm Lobster is one of my favorite things to have when we go out! I would be in heaven with the Dueling Lobster Tails!

  13. Lobsters are just my favorite, can’t get enough of them!

  14. My 6-yr-old is begging to go to Red Lobster! I don’t know why, we’ve never been there. Maybe this is a good time to try!

  15. Those are great tips and ones I usually use. Since I have a toddler I always make sure that I walk with an extra set of clothing since most of her food ends up on her clothes. 🙂 We love Reb Lobster here at my house and after I’m better I plan on heading there!

  16. Fabulous Perks says

Funny I was speaking to a friend yesterday about Red Lobsters biscuits. Go there to buy a salad just so I can get the biscuits. I love red Lobster! My favorite place to eat!

  17. The Lobster in Paradise looks delicious! We don’t have too many tips for going out to eat- it was always easy to convince my kids to go out to eat! Haha.

  18. We have surf and turf here every Friday night. I’m not a big seafood lover, but my family is.

  19. Lean Lacaba says

This looks divine! Although my immune system isn’t fond of lobsters(or anything that has a shell) I’d love to divulge in this!

  20. I have never had lobster, but you make it look and sound so delicious I want to try some now! x

  21. BabsProjects says

Last Monday my husband and I went to Red Lobster to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It had been a long time since we had been there. My husband ordered Lobster Lover’s Dream and he was very disappointed. The Lobster was very chewy and tough. As for my meal, I had clam chowder which was not bad.

  22. Veronica Solomon says

Wow! These meals are definitely drool worthy. they look super delicious!
