Help Your Family Stay Healthy This Winter With LYSOL®! #Lysol #Giveaway #Ad

*I participated in this campaign on behalf of Lysol®. I received a promotional item to facilitate this post and as a thank you item for participating.  All opinions are my own.

It never fails, every winter, my husband manages to escape unscathed from colds and the Flu while the rest of us in the house quickly infect one another.  Unfortunately, it is inevitable that germs eventually make their way into our home since I teach in a school and both of our boys are in school.  No matter how hard we try to ward off getting sick, one of us always starts that chain reaction where we get sick one after the other.

The question then becomes how Hubby manages to keep those germs at bay while the rest of us suffer miserably until the infection in the house runs its course.  Here are some of his tips for helping your family to stay healthy this winter and giving those germs a run for their money:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often.  He really loves using Lysol® Touch of Foam Antibacterial Hand Wash because it has a creamy texture and contains micro bubbles that deliver moisturizer to his skin and don’t dry out his hands.
  • Clean surfaces around the house that come in contact with lots of hands and faces including the telephone receiver, doorknobs, and light switches using Lysol® Disinfectant Spray.  He loves Lysol® Spray because it kills 99.9% of Viruses and Bacteria.
  • Use Lysol® Power & Free Multi-Purpose Wipes to clean up messes such as when our son had a stomach virus last week and vomited all over the couch.  Since they have a fresh scent, and also kill 99.9% of germs, they are perfect for those tough and yucky messes.

In the end, the common theme in his list of tips for power punching those germs is constant disinfecting.  Whether you are washing your hands or wiping those germs off surfaces, it’s important to help stop the spread of flu germs by practicing proper cough and sneeze etiquette.

We can all do this by staying away from sick people, and staying home if we get sick.  For those times when germ exposure is inevitable, like in the case of busy moms and dads taking care of sick kids, Lysol® is there to help you kick those pesky germs to the curb!

Let’s Discuss:  How do you protect your family from cold and flu season during the winter months?

So just as I was recovering, I got his with the same cold again a few days later and went through another 2 weeks of it. This time, now that I”m starting to feel good, I’m going around and killing all of those germs. I don’t have time to be sick for another 2 weeks any more.
