It’s no secret that my boys hate to eat their vegetables. Over the years, my husband and I have had to get really creative when it comes to making sure that they both get their daily recommended doses of vitamins and minerals. Many times, it has meant incorporating vegetables into smoothies and other dishes in order to “trick” them into eating them.
Along with making sure that we incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables into their diet, we have also added children’s vitamins into their daily routine. This has all been in an attempt to ensure that they have a balanced diet and that they grow up to be healthy and strong. As a result, we were eager to try Vemma Next since it contains antioxidants and nutrients that are essential to growing bodies.
What is Vemma Next?
Vemma Next is a daily supplement that contains ingredients that are specifically targeted towards children ages 2 to 12. These ingredients include:
- DHA – an all-natural, vegetarian source of omega-3 fatty acid known for brain and eye support.* Choline also aids in brain development.*
- Quercetin – a group of flavonoids that give many fruits and vegetables their coloring. An antioxidant perfect for growing bodies.*
- Phytonutrient extracts of 14 organic fruits and veggies for those children who don’t get enough.
What did we think about Vemma Next?
Pros:
Since many children have poor eating habits, they engage in poor nutritional habits such as eating junk foods and even skipping meals. The result is a lack of balanced nutrition that growing bodies depend on for development.
We really liked the fact that a daily dose of Vemma Next gave our boys a full spectrum of vitamins, antioxidants and over 65 plant-sourced minerals. Additionally, the single 2 oz serving bottles were very convenient to take on-the-go and to give the kids.*
Cons:
Although each supplement has a creamy orange flavor, our boys complained that it had a vitamin-like taste and after-taste. Upon tasting it for myself, I also noted that the vitamin taste is not completely masked by the orange flavor. As a result, I would suggest perhaps diluting the supplement in your child’s favorite fruit juice.
As parents, we can also feel good about buying Vemma Next because, for every month’s supply purchased, Vemma will donate a month’s supply of Next to a child in need. It’s great to know that, while you are providing your own child with the daily vitamins that he or she needs, you are also helping a child who is less fortunate to also get those important vitamins and minerals!
Let’s Discuss: How do you make sure that your children get their daily dose of vitamins and minerals?

Looks great! We tried Garden of Life vitamins but my kids hated them. Now we use Little Critters.
I really need to look into these! I have to admit that my girls are SUCH picky eaters and I don’t always have the energy to insist that they eat! We’re getting better with our meals but I still need some help! I’m going to check these out.
My kids are lousy eaters, too, so I give them a Flintstones vitamin every day to make sure they get their nutrition.
My boys could definitely use a supplement like this. But sadly, they are picky too. I’m not sure they could get past the aftertaste that you describe. Diluting it in a juice would be the best bet.
My children take vitamin supplements every day and they also eat their fruits and veggies. I shake things up when it comes time for them to eat their fruits and veggies, I get creative.
This is interesting. I’ve never heard of this brand but it is nice to have different options for kids to get vitamins. I will have to keep this in mind for the future. Thanks for sharing!
What a great way to get children to take their vitamins. I give my children gummy vitamins each day.
I really need to start looking at vitamins and supplements for my daughter. This may work for her if added in some orange juice.
what a great way for kids to get their vitamins this is a cool product will have to get some.
My kids are good about fruits but terrible about vegetables. I try to sneak them in whenever I can, but it’s hard.
My wilds need this! My 3 year old does pretty good with veggies but my 5 year old not so much. I’ll be looking into this product.
My kids aren’t fans of taking vitamins. So I really like the drink option. I think I might be able to get my kids to drink them.
This is so interesting. I’ve never heard of a drink option – how smart. I’m going to look for this in my area. I think it would be a great alternative to a “traditional” daily vitamin.
This is new to me. I like it though. Good way to make sure they are getting everything they need to be healthy!
This is really cool. First gummy vitamins, and now drinkable supplements? I think my kids would have gone for these.
Maybe you could use it in a smoothie to further counter the taste. Interesting idea to make vitamins drinkable!
What a neat sounding supplement it always makes all the difference when they taste good as well 🙂 x
I hate to eat my vegetables too! I should take this! When it comes to eating right, I need to be treated like a kid, lol.
Omg too cute those two! “Yum” lol My son doesn’t eat his vegetables either this may exactly what he needs!
This is great for kids! Only one of my kiddies hates Vegetables the rest can not get enough of them lol.
I’ve never heard of this product before!! My son will not eat veggies so this is something that we are going to have to look into!
This looks really good! I love oranges, too so I’m sure I would love the taste of this. (I do eat my veggies though haha)
Oh this would be great for me to get my kids to try.
I used to give my girls vitamin gummy bears and then I stopped because my younger one would sneak it like a candy and eat more than required. Thanks for this review. I will check it out.
Our kids take gummy vitamins in the morning. They love their gummies, but I’m wondering if they would like this drink. I think it’s worth a shot.
My kids take a gummy but i do think it is ijmportant to know about phytonutrients and such.
Oh we have been talking about giving him vitamins recently, I will have to check into these~
my daughter takes a daily vitamin and I try to make sure she eats fruits and veggies every day. I should look into these though.
