Just in case you live in a bubble and don’t already know, the entire East Coast has been battling some freezing weather conditions in the past couple of weeks. We’ve experienced everything from snow and freezing rain to below zero temperatures. During these times, we are reminded just how important it is to have products that keep us connected and safe during weather emergencies.
With the winter months upon us, it is important to make sure you and your family are well prepared for these kinds of winter storms. As you prepare to handle Mother’s Nature wrath, gadgets aiding in communication are key items to have on hand. This is especially true when you have children who have asthma like I do. Being able to get help when they are having a breathing crisis could mean the difference between life and death.
One example of an essential communication gadget is the new Panasonic Link2Cell cordless telephone. This new product contains blizzard essential technology such as:
- · Extended battery life
- · Noise reduction capabilities
- · Seamless cell phone connectivity
Link2Cell is a cordless phone system that operates together with your cell phone. Simply charge your cell phone through the USB port on the Panasonic base unit and synch the two via Bluetooth. Now you’re ready to make and receive cell calls that are automatically routed through all your home phone handsets. Which means there’s no need to carry your cell phone around your home. I really love this feature because it allows me to get all of my housecleaning done without having to worry about dropping my cell phone in water or getting cleaner on it.
One of my favorite features of this phone is the talking caller ID. You can hear who’s calling from across the room. The Talking Caller ID feature uses text-to-speech technology, announcing the caller’s information in between rings. If you’re looking for superb sound quality and long range, look no further than the DECT 6.0 Plus technology in Panasonic cordless phones. You will never have to worry about missing a call or making a call again, even during inclement weather conditions!
Let’s Discuss: How important do you think reliable communication gadgets are during a weather emergency?

I think this is the phone my sister has and loves it. She has been telling me I should get one, but so far I haven’t.
I am in need of a new phone and this definitely sounds like it could be the one. I am going shopping this weekend, so I will have to check these out.
I don’t have a house phone anymore – it’s been years since I did. When a storm is coming, I always make sure I charge my phone fully the night before just in case.
I like Panasonic phones, and I agree it’s important to be prepared and have a solid way to communicate should a winter (or any) emergency arise.
We have Panasonic phones in our house for ages now and I don’t ever recall having a problem with their handsets. Its really great and I am a loyal customer 🙂
I love Panasonic phones this is the brand we have. This one from you post might be a newer version to the one we have. I love the link2cell idea; Its so convenient.
Communication is extremely important with the kind of weather we have been having (yes I am a New Yorker-I live just outside the city)–AND there are times when either the cells don’t work or the landlines don’t- (massive power outage landlines worked0-cells did not)-9/11 cells worked but very few landlines did! This sounds like a great invention!
I seriously love the idea that is syncs to the cell phone! I would love to have a “family line” again; but we only use Cell phones. So this would totally give that “family line” feel. Plus I love the idea of not having to carry the cell phone with me around the house.
My father has a phone like this and it’s been great. With all the snow and bad weather recently it’s so important for us to be able to reach him and make sure he is okay.
While I don’t have this particular model, we do have Panasonic phones in our house. I love them. They also have the talking caller id feature, which is awesome. I don’t run across the house if it’s just a telemarketer.
This is so cool! I love not having to have my cell on me at all times when I am home! It makes life so much easier. Now can I surf Pinterest on this phone? Haha jk!
We are using Panasonic phones too! I’m really happy with them! Thanks for a great review!
That voice ID is a nice feature. If you’re in the middle of something, you can call someone back if it’s a person you know rather than dashing to the phone.
I’ve been looking for a new set of cordless phones for my work. This is defiantly one that I may need to look into
We recently lost our home phone to a accident where it fell into the sink. I love the style of this one and two handsets is a must. Where we are (Florida)) blizzards are not an issue, hurricanes are though.
I love this technology, syncing the cell to the unit. We would always have a phone ready, very practical 🙂
Very practical. It helps to be prepared for anything in bad weather. I have had my fare share of bad weather being from Jamaica with hurricanes
This seems so handy and perfect for my mom too!
I love cordless phones like this and so cool to have that bluetooth feature for the cell phone 🙂
Reliable communication is important because you never know when you need it!
I am from Kansas and having the right equipment for the weather disaster has been engrained into my blood. Being prepared is the most important thing! I think this phone looks like a great product! I love the extended battery life.
Looks like a good product! We haven’t had a home phone in years because we just use our cells.
This is fantastic to know as we are looking for new phones for the house and this would be a super product so we don’t miss calls. I hate using my cell phone for calls and I feel that Panasonic is a good name. Thanks
