  7. I didn’t realize that Movies on Demand released so many films as soon as they went to DVD. That’s pretty cool, especially with the rising cost of movie tickets! We love watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation; I’ve been watching it since way before it was age-appropriate for me to be seeing it. LOL

  8. I would say our favorites are The Christmas Story, ELF, and The Grinch. We also enjoy the Santa Claus Films. We watch on demand for TV shows, I’ll have to check out the movies option as well.

  11. Ya, that dang snow ruined my day trip to NYC last Sunday. I wanted to take the boys ice skating and to see the tree, but that didn’t happen….GRRRR.

    Anyways, with that said, we spent the ENTIRE day curled up on the couch watching Christmas movies. We have Verizon Fios & their On Demand isn’t that great, so we did Netflix, DVD’s and whatever was on ABC Family.

  13. If we lived in the US, I would for sure use this. The 3 year old this morning was desperate for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the TV and none was to be found. He did not want it on the iPad. First world toddler problems!

  18. My favorite holiday movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. We also like A Christmas Story.

  19. We always watch Elf, The Grinch (original), and my all time favorite The Bells of St. Mary’s. It’s a super old movie starring Bing Crosby. I used to watch it with my mom and sisters, now I watch it with my kids. I still love it!

    I love watching movies as a family and then sometime with my hubs. As a family we watch animated cartoon type movies like Ants, Nemo etc.. but with my husband I like to watch comedy romantics and I love my tyler perry movies!

    Every year I love to watch Elf and the Charlie Brown Christmas specials with my boys!

  41. Our holiday movie watching traditions include…Elf, Scrooge (the musical), Charlie Brown Christmas, and the original Grinch. This year we’ve added Miracle on 34th street to our DVD’s and I’m a big fan of the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol as well.

    Since I was a kid I always loved the Home Alone movies. I also enjoy watching the Santa Claus movies. I haven’t seen a lot of the other really popular Christmas movies, I guess I’ll need to though!
