Every single year, we all hear our friends and family talking about how they are going to stick to all of their New Year’s resolutions and everyone tries to start the year with good intentions. A New Year’s resolution is defined as a promise that you make to yourself to begin doing something positive or to stop doing something negative on the first day of the year.
This certainly resonates with me because I was raised to believe that the New Year comes with fresh starts and new beginnings. It is the perfect opportunity to shed all of the problems and negativity of the previous year and almost to be born again. The problem is that these resolutions are not that easy to keep up with and most people end up giving up on them fairly quickly.
I’m not sure exactly why people give up on their resolutions so easily but I’m fairly certain that lack of finances sometimes has something to do with it. For example, some might commit to losing weight in the New Year but they end up not having the funds to join a gym or to purchase workout equipment. That is exactly why I decided to join a fabulous group of bloggers to bring you all a fantastic giveaway to put some cash in your pocket for the New Year and give you some funds to support those resolutions!
Why not start 2014 with a bunch of cash?

I am planning some blog resolutions for the new year. I want to start working on them next week.
Hmm that is tough, I have not even thought about my resolutions yet. Maybe more gardening.
I know that it is cliche, but I want to eat healthier and work out more!
Living every single moment to the fullest! I just want to take more risks and get outside my comfort zone.
I want to focus more on my health next year, including taking more time to simply relax!
My New Years Resolution is definitely focus on my health by losing 40 lbs. I am determined! I am going to start eating more healthy and going to the gym every other day.
I think my resolution is not to make any. LOL
Attempt to run more for sure! I may want to attempt the Nike Women’s Half Marathon next fall 😛
For 62 years I have made resolutions and never quite kept up with them–so this year I am going to resolve NOT to make any resolutions and see what happens!!
It’s hard to keep up with the resolution – so I never made one, LOL! I just went in to the flow of life and enjoy it as possible, lol.
I’m one of those people that doesn’t make resolutions. I know they don’t last, so I don’t even bother LOL. Although, I have to say that the gym is always packed for the first 2 or 3 weeks in January, but then it dies down.
i have not kept a resolution yet so I doublt i make one;
My one resolution, the one I’ve had for years and hope to continue fulfilling is: This year I resolve to Breathe. So far I’ve been pretty good at following through. ; ) BB2U
My resolution is to find a better balance between work and family. And to not get too caught up in work.
great giveaway! My new years resolution is to try to get better with managing my time with blogging, family time and my other duties as a mom. Finding balance.
Some of New Year’s resolutions are kinda the same as my old one. I want to spend more time with friends and family in real life instead of being online so much 🙂
What a lovely competition! How kind of you all. My News Resolution at the moment is just to keep whatever one I come up with lol x
awesome giveaway! Thank you so much.. my new years resolution is to save enough money to get a new car.
My New Years Resolution is to better my time management skills. These past few month I’ve just been all over the place, hardly accomplishing anything!
I have 3 young kids and haven’t worked out since they were born. I was a fanatic before that. I would love to get back in shape.
I do not make resolutions, I changed it to goals and found I stick to them. Last year my goal was to run a 5k before the end of the year and I surpassed that. My goal for next year was to become an ambassador for a running company and I already have that! Not sure of other goals yet. Thank you for the giveaway.
i really need to get my butt into the gym- i used to be soo good at going but its really hard with 2 kids
I am not a big believer in resolutions at the New Year. They never work out well with me, LOL. I would like to dedicate myself to making 2014 the year I make progress in getting healthier.
Ohhhh resolutions….I guess to try to get healthier. Better eating, more exercise. Crossing my fingers that happens!!
I have set a goal this new year among other things find work and finish my college estidios
I really need to be more focus and organized with my life to attend the goals I have set. I must attain them to help others!
Being the best mom I can be and trying not to sweat the small stuff.
I honestly gave up on new year’s resolutions. I believe you can be the person you want to be everyday.
I’m a firm believer in not waiting to make changes that you want to make so although I am a big fan of goal setting, I don’t commit to New Year’s resolutions. Why wait another week and a half to start doing the things you think are important? So, my goals are to eat healthy, be physically active, spend quality time with my family, stay organized, and improve my blog. Good luck to everyone on their resolutions and goals!
i make new years resolutions mainly to justify my behavior for the last couple of weeks of the year. like, “i’ll stop drinking after the new year,” or “i’ll go to be earlier in the new year.” and then i never really care to much about it once the actual year gets here. other than working out and eating healthier which i never give up on. i just have good weeks and bad weeks and the start of the year doesn’t really matter.
I never make resolutions. Too much pressure! I create small goals on a month by month basis.
my hopw for 2014 is to be kinder to myself and to my kids and husband.
I never make any resolutions. It’s too hard to keep them
I am horrible at keeping goals I set for myself.. HORRIBLE at it! I always make them, but never keep them. So disappointing!
I never seem to keep goals! But my main goal is to lose weight, be the best mom and wife I can be and buy 1 gift for each child a month for 2014 Christmas!
I don’t stick to new Years resolution either. Will stick to goals one month at a time.
I’m going to leave the past behind me and make this the best of all my years
I am going to focus on cleaning out things I dont use and living a more simple life. I am also going to get my passport and start traveling.
We recently moved–TWICE!–, and one of those moves was across an ocean. While I have everything else in the house organized, our office area is still a mess. My resolution for 2014 is to organize our paperwork. My second resolution is to quit belching. ‘Cause I’m classy like that. 😉
My resolution for 2014 is to organize my scrapbooking supplies, and to get back into scrapbooking again and also to crochet more. I also want to get to go visit my new grandson and be able to hold him.
My biggest resolution will be to loose weight and start exercising more and eating healthier

I want to better myself by having more confidence in myself!! I need to have more self power, so my son can grow up believing in himself.
One of my goals for 2014 is to try to save more money. I would love to pay down debt as well as add to our savings. Thank you….and Happy New Year!
I want to be better organized, loose more weight (I’ve already lost 20), I want to spend more time with family and spend more time reading
I want to spend more time with my family this year . I also would like to get in shape.
I decided to make realizatios this year rather than resolutions. I realize I need to get healthy and to gain more self esteem
I’m definitely trying to take some healthy steps in the new year. Switching out junk food snacks (cookies) for healthier options (fruit,hummus,etc.). I’m also exercising more, I’ve picked up running the last couple months and I hope to stay with it this whole year.
I commented on WAIT – Paid apps for Free. Maybe some better alternatives
I would love to stick to a new years resolution this year of landing the best job ever and eating healthier options. Matter of fact, I am going to stick to those plans… I hear positive thinking can actually go a long way, so here I come positivity!! 🙂 Lets all try to get more positive this year!
