I have always been into technology. When I was in middle school, I remember sitting in computer class and being fascinated as we learned about the Qwerty keyboard. Of course, that was a long time ago when computers were not as portable and technology, as we know it, has certainly come a long way. One device that has certainly changed my life and allows me to manage the things that matter to me is the Google Nexus 7 Tablet (7-Inch, 16GB, Black) by ASUS (2013).
When I first had the opportunity to tinker with the Nexus 7 at Google headquarters here in New York City, one of the first things that immediately caught my eye was that it gives the owner the ability to create multiple user accounts for everyone in their home. As a parent, this was music to my ears because my boys are always using my electronic devices and I worry about monitoring their Internet usage. I always try to expose my students to an array of tech…I don’t want them to be bogged down with what ‘the best’ is, as long as it keeps you connected, I think Google is definitely on point with that.
I am the last person in my family not to have a smart phone or tablet…including my grand-daughter. This would change my life by keeping me up with the family.

Oh, this would be wonderful! My husband and I have our own business (he’s a magician), and we’ve been discussing all the ways a tablet would benefit us- running his sound during shows, helping me to create client paperwork like contracts, invoices, etc. while I’m on the phone with the client, business records, directions on the go, etc. This would also help when our little one comes in January to keep us organized in everything else.
I love that you can create multiple accounts. With a family of 4 on the go – we can connect (and entertain) on one device. This would be easier to keep track of when we travel! And I can transfer my google apps I already use 🙂

It would allow me to do my blogging away from home! My eyes are too old to work on my phone, so I’ve been wanting a tablet.
If I won a Nexus 7, I would use it checking my emails, playing games, reading books, getting organized and taking photos. I often bring my 94 year old Aunt to Doctors appointments and need to wait in the offices for quite awhile. Having a Nexus would really help me keep in touch with my family, especially my kids and would help make the time go quicker.
I would be able to do all sorts of things on the go with the Nexus 7. Currently I’m tied to a laptop and I can imagine all sorts of things I can do in other spots in my house or even using it while in a store that has wi-fi or in public places.

I got a new job and I don’t have a tablet. The formal way to work for me would be to go on business meetings and show presentations. I would love to whip out the tablet and meet the same clients informally for coffee with tablet in hand instead. It would position me as a pretty tech savvy person but also get me acquainted better with the clients.
I’d give this to my mom. She has medical issues and spends a lot of time in bed, so it’s hard for her to sit at the desktop. This way, she could check her email and keep up with friends and family without having to leave her bed.

We currently don’t have a computer, ours died last summer. So this would be nice to have in the meantime, until a computer fits in our budget. Plus I love being able to let our sons play educational games on them, especially when we’re out & about & I need them to chill out for a few minutes.
This would certainly give me the flexibility to work on-the-go and to enjoy reading without lugging around a heavy laptop or stack of books!
The Google Nexus 7 Tablet would be a wonderful way for me to stay in touch with my grandparents in Virginia. My granny has back problems so it is hard for her to sit at a computer desk, which means she is never able to get online to email or participate in social media as much as she would like. She loves keeping up with us on Facebook and Skype. I would give this to her to help make her feel closer to her family. She could use it when she is laying down because it is so small and sleek and of course, easy to use since it has the Android/Google platform. Having a Nexus 7 would totally save my work tablet’s life! Seriously. I have a tablet for work. But the kids are always begging to play on it. So it is chalked full of educational game apps. I have two children with Autism. I have been trying to win a table for them. There are so many amazing apps that would help them learn, communicate and socialize.

I commute a lot for work, and often find myself very board. I think I would use it for my very long train rides. Download a magazine or book and not have to worry about lugging around extra items.

It would help me a lot. My computer has been broken for a while so I am only online on my cell. It would be nice to be able to play games and watch videos with my son. We did have a tablet but after having the screen replaced once, motherboard replaced (factory defect) and the screen breaking a second time, I have given up on buying one for now.
Convenience is the first thing that comes to mind. Our son, his fiance and the baby have moved in with us and with just the desktop I seem to be losing alot of time on the internet. What a blessing this would be to be able to do what I want when I want.

My husband is in school and working full time. He has a lot of homework he has to do on the computer so he can’t be near the rest of the family most of the time…this would help him to be able to do his homework wherever he wants!

One way this would change my life would be to give me a little peace. My 9 year old grandson has a little tablet that he plays games on and his 6 year old brother always wants to play too. Which makes for a lot of arguing when they are at my house. I’d love to win this so my little grandson could also play games.

Well, I could quit ruining my laptop cords by leaving it on my desk and use the Nexus 7 tablet when I’m looking up recipes in the kitchen. That would be fantastic to me!

My laptop died about a week ago. I go to my dad’s several times a week and used to take my laptop with me to do sweeps, banking and other things while I was there. So, the tablet would be a great replacement.

If I win this it would be really helpful since my old laptop is acting up, so its going to die soon. The Nexus 7 would be a great replacement while I get another laptop, it would also be a great opportunity to check out an android device.
A Nexus 7 Tablet would change my life with its convenience and its small size. It would fit in my handbag and go with me everywhere for organization and something interesting to do while I wait somewhere.

It would help me keep track of my personal business. It would also benefit each of my kids. They could log in & check their grades or if one happens to be out sick from school she could log into the school site & participate in all of her classes. I love that schools are all into tech.
