When I was growing up in my Grandmother’s house as a young girl, having visitors during the middle of the day was always a big production. From the moment that the doorbell rang, we would all hurry to welcome our guests and to help Tata (Grandma) prepare the coffee and pull out all of the pastries, cookies and cakes that we kept in the house for just these visits.
I was always in awe as to how much coffee and dessert could be arranged in such a short time. One of my fondest memories is the smell of coffee permeating the house and mixing with the perfumes of our female visitors. Oh, how I wanted to grow up and be beautiful and gracious like these wonderful women whom I was surrounded by.
The Perfect Companion to delicious cookies!
Now that I have my own family, it is important to me to maintain those wonderful traditions that I learned during my childhood. When I’m entertaining visitors in our home, there are certain staples that I always have to pair with some delicious desserts. One of those items is, of course, our favorite coffee and Coffee-Mate Hazelnut flavored coffee creamer. It truly is the perfect companion to any coffee that we prepare in our home. I’ve always felt that there is no better way to accompany dessert that we serve to our guests.
The Perfect Companion to Coconut Macaroons!
Recently, I had the opportunity to make our coffee using a French Press. This is a simple coffee brewing device that allows you to make the perfect cup of coffee right in front of your family and friends at your very own dining room table. It’s perfect for entertaining guests because you can start preparing the coffee in the kitchen and just move the pot, when the coffee starts brewing, to the table so that everyone there can marvel at the wonders of brewing coffee. It certainly took a little practice but the kids and our visitors really enjoyed it and the coffee was really good too.
As you can see from our photos, I’m still pairing up delicious coffee with delectable desserts. Not only is Coffee-Mate the perfect companion to my coffee but, it also makes my coffee taste so much better! I have used a French Press but guess I probably need lots more trys to get it right! I still prefer my one cup Melitta (plastic cone)–I do love Coffee Mate and love that it comes in Fat Free and some sugar free varieties! I really want to try the Sweet Cream one–I love the taste of sweet cream in my coffee!

I’ve used the dry Coffee Mate creamer for years, but I always get the French Vanilla liquid creamer when my daughter comes to visit because she loves it.

My favorite coffee mate coffee creamer is Regular fat-free coffee mate! I love it because it is exactly like the non fat-free but, fewer calories and not fat! When I use it my cup of coffee is only 38 calories! That means I can drink more coffee through out the day!!

French vanilla is my favorite because it adds just the right amount of flavor to my coffee.
I like the french vanilla best- I usually drink my coffee black, but when I add the french vanilla creamer it makes it a dessert-like treat for me and satisfies my sweet tooth.
I like the Girl Scout Cookie ones…especially the Samoa one! Samoas are my favorite Girl Scout cookies and the creamer is my favorite…It’s the perfect companion to my coffee because I love flavored coffees.

I have only used the original. I’m used to it and I really like it. However, it won’t hurt to try some new flavors. My coffee mate is a good companion to a nice slice of cake.

We like the original, dairy creamer. My husband is a huge coffee drinker and it’d be a bad place to be if there wasn’t coffee mate. We like biscotti once in a while, but normally by itself.

What I look for when I want a good coffee creamer is something with Chocolate flavor, I’d like Mocha or any chocolate flavored Coffee mate.
My go to flavor year round is French Vanilla. I always try at least 1 seasonal flavor. There have been several I really liked and was a little disappointed when they went away.

I dont really have a favorite because I love them all. I love the holiday ones too! What i love is that it not only flavors my coffee and makes it richer, but it also adds the perfect amount of sweetness too, so I dont have to put in an additional sweetener.

I’ve tried most of them, and although I enjoy the others as well, we buy the French Vanilla in the 2 qt bottle at Sam’s Club. Even if we buy a specialty coffee, the French Vanilla Coffeemate complimets the flavor well, and smoothes out the cup. Ahh! (Excuse me while I go pour myself a cup!)
My wife’s favorite flavor is Coffee-Mate Liquid Vanilla. She says the flavor of vanilla makes coffee perfect.

My favorite Coffeemate creamer is Cafe Mocha (but only because they stopped making the Chocolate Raspberry, which I LOVED and desperately wish they’d bring back!) It’s a perfect companion to my coffee because I take my creamer with a splash of coffee, instead of the other way around, and the flavors are great.
