My nephew helped me give the gift of sleep to my sister who struggles as a single mom of three boys.
One of the things that makes me the most happy about blogging is being able to “Pay it forward” and to share wonderful products and experiences with deserving moms all over the country. I was thrilled when I learned that I would have the opportunity to give the Gift of Sleep to a mom or a family in need because it truly is better to give than to receive. Thanks to Pampers, I was able to launch a mission to ease the financial burden of a mom whom I know could really use the help.
It wasn’t difficult to immediately realize who I would share the $100 gift card and the Pampers diapers with. You see, there is one mom who has always struggled financially as a single parent and never complained about having to do it all for her three boys. She has always worked long hours and even worked overtime on the weekend just to make ends meet but you would never know it because it is not something that she publicizes. Recently, due to unexpected financial setbacks, conditions have really gotten dire for her and, at times, it is a miracle how she scrapes the money together just to buy diapers and milk for her one-year old son.
This special mom is my sister. Although our family bands together to do what we can to support her, I know that her pride will always keep her from truly divulging how in need she is for any kind of support. I wanted to ease her burden just a little and to give her the Gift of Sleep and not having to worry where her next pack of diapers would come from.
All smiles from my sister and nephews as they receive the gift of sleep from Pampers and Tough Cookie Mommy!
This week we headed to her house to present her with the Gift of Sleep Prize Pack including two packs of Pampers diapers and a $100 gift card. She was so grateful and immediately shared with me that she will be using the gift card to buy a winter coat, a hat and gloves for the baby. I know that she had been worrying over where she was going to get the money to buy those important items.
New Pampers understands the importance of delivering the best diapers for babies and of easing the already worrisome role of being a mom. They are currently launching huge upgrades across their entire line of diapers, training pants and wipes. They interviewed over 9,000 moms to learn what their priorities were when it comes to their babies. Pampers found that many of them wanted a diaper that would provide impenetrable overnight dryness and protect baby’s delicate skin. Pampers listened and they designed a diaper that is capable of withstanding 12 hours of overnight protection.
Here are some major changes to the diaper brands you have come to know and love from Pampers:
- Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers’ softest diaper and the #1 choice of hospitals, is now available through size 5.
- Pampers Baby Dry is up to three times drier than ordinary diapers and provides up to 12 hours of overnight protection and three layers of absorbency.
- Pampers Cruisers are now more absorbent and offer Pampers’ best fit for all the ways babies play freely.
New Pampers products are arriving at shelves across the country. They have considered the unique needs of moms and babies everywhere to bring you unprecedented overnight dryness and protection. I am confident that this will bring the Gift of Sleep to many beautiful babies and, in turn, their mommies will get the gift of sleep too, without having to worry so much!
Let’s discuss: What deserving mom would you give the gift of sleep to and why?

My husband because he has been working 12 hour shifts at a construction site, and when he gets home, he has to do 4 more hours of work, and then he also has to take care of the kids, so last night he went to bed at 2 and was up at 5:50.
I would give the gift of sleep to my friend who is expecting. I think new moms should be pampered!

What adorable photos and what a nice gesture on your part.
That’s so awesome that you were able to help her out, Maria! I would give the gift of sleep to my sister; while her little ones are no longer in diapers, she works an all-consuming full time job, stays involved in the community, and does a great job raising her 3-year old and her kindergartener. She could definitely use some sleep!

I would give it to my son and his wife. They went from being a two income family to a one-income family. My son, willingly and by choice, is now paying his wife’s student loan bills, both of their car payments, and all of the other monthly bills as well on his own. To say it is a big adjustment is minimizing the amount of debt he’s taken on so his wife could stay home with their child. I’m proud of all of them.
