Everything You Need For Cough And Cold Season Is At @Walgreens #WalgreensLatino #Ad

I’ve been really trying to protect myself against cough and cold season because, as an educator, I am exposed to hundreds of germs on a daily basis.  Almost every year, I get a cold around this time and I’m hoping that this year will be different.  Luckily, I know exactly where to go when I need any products to tackle my cough and my cold head on.  Walgreens has always stocked all of my favorite and trusted cough and cold medicines which always help in making being sick a little less miserable.

Since I have been working as a teacher for over thirteen years, I have managed to pick up a few tips here and there to help avoid catching a cold.  Here are some of the things that I do in my own classroom to help the spread of germs:

  • Wash your hands as often as possible and avoid touching your face in between washings.
  • Keep tissues handy and encourage children and adults to use them to cover their mouth when they sneeze or cough.
  • Use disinfectant wipes to clean surfaces that others frequently touch such as doorknobs and telephones.
  • Carry a portable sanitizer in your purse or backpack and use it throughout the day.
  • Spray counters and tabletops with a bleach and water solution that contains one tablespoon of bleach for every quart of water.

Unfortunately, sometimes these tips still will not prevent you from coming down with a cold, especially during this time of the year.  When that happens, we rush over to our local Walgreens to stock up on our favorite cough and cold medicines because they are always fully stocked with all of the best brands.

Make sure you prepare for cough and cold season by heading to your local Walgreens.  They have everything you need to help alleviate some of those symptoms like sneezing, sore throat, and coughing!  Like them on Facebook to learn more about why they are the leading U.S. drugstore chain and to keep up with their latest promotions.  You can find your local Walgreens “At the corner of happy and healthy.”

Thanks for the heads up to go and stock for the winter! I hope they have some sales in that dept!

  2. Great advice! Now that I am semi retired I am not as prone to catching colds from others–but I have allergies at this time of year and I am also allergic to my own germs–thus I get can and do get sick if the allergy attack is bad enough. I have already stocked up on allergy meds–but the way I feel right now–better head to Walgreens for something to clear my lungs!!

I get a flu shot every year at Walgrrens and if we need cough or cold medicine, that is where we shop since we are only about 5 minutes from them. Our Daughter teaches German in Ohio and she is forever getting sick from her students. I will tell her all your tips.!

  4. Wish we had a Walgreens closer, I miss it! Always find what I’m looking for there and great deals, too.

  5. Having worked in the medical field I can only say: Great advice! Now if only everyone would stick to it 🙂

  18. Great tips Maria! I do almost all those things as well, but they are great reminders. Walgreens has been a life saver for my family when we needed something at 1am in the morning!

  19. Great tips, especially that wash your hands one. Maybe if people washed their hands more often they might be healthier. If you can’t wash your hands then definitely use a hand sanitizer.

  20. Thanks for the reminder 🙂 I am just getting over a cold and my entire fam is now getting it. 🙁 two sick babies + a big baby (hubby) is no fun.
