Check Your Label And Serve Up Healthier Dishes With Soybean Oil! Gift Card #Giveaway

Disclosure:  This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with United Soybean Board.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

My family has a history of heart disease on both sides.  On my mother’s side, we suffer from high blood pressure and stroke and on my father’s side, heart attack and also blood pressure problems.  As a result, taking care of our hearts is a serious priority for the members of my family.  One of the ways that we have begun to make changes in our diets is by incorporating more heart-healthy meals and recipes.  We were very surprised to see that soybean oil can be incorporated into many of our favorite Latin dishes while, at the same time, providing many heart-healthy benefits.

Many people don’t even know that they have soybean oil in their pantry already.  As a matter of fact, most vegetable oil is soybean oil!  It’s good for your heart because it has been shown to lower cholesterol levels when used in moderation.  As one of the few non-fish sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, it is also a great source of Vitamin E which is essential to preventing cell damage that may lead to diseases such as cancer and heart disease.  As a Survivor, these are health benefits that are important to me and to overall health of my family.

I love how versatile soybean oil is and it really can be incorporated into many of our traditional dishes without having to compromise taste.  Also, since it is about the tenth of the cost of other competing oils, I don’t have to make a choice between not going over our grocery budget and having my family enjoy healthier meals.  What could be better than knowing that you are helping to keep your family heart-healthy and saving money at the same time?

With the holidays right around the corner, there is no better time than the present to start planning your heart-healthy recipes using soybean oil.  For more information on how to incorporate it into your favorite recipes, visit the soybean oil website.  Here is one of my personal favorites:

Crispy Rich Tacos With Kimchi Recipe
