Introduce The Smurfs To Your Children! #Giveaway #Ad

*This post was written by me on behalf of JAKKS Pacific.  I received complimentary product samples to facilitate this review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was a little girl, I loved watching The Smurfs on television and playing with their animated figures.  As a matter of fact, I can even remember my grandfather buying a Smurfs comic book for me to read on the airplane when I traveled to the United States from Spain at eight years old.  These delightful little people hold a very important place in my childhood.

As a parent, I really enjoy sharing all of the cartoons and toys from my childhood with my own two sons.  It’s amazing to see them enjoying themselves as much as I did when I was a kid.  This summer, The Smurfs have made their way back into the big screen!  To celebrate the film’s recent release, JAKKS Pacific has introduced a new lineup of collectible Smurfs figures and plush toys.

We love being able to collect our favorite Smurfs characters from The Smurfs 2 movie!  Their new movie figures allow you to recreate your favorite scenes from the film and come in 24 different figures.  My seven year-old loved being able to pretend play with his Movie Figure 2 pack containing Smurfette and Clumsy.

As an educator, I realize how important allowing him to use his imagination when he plays with toys is to his development.  That is why I also loved watching him play with the detailed The Smurfs Bean Bag Plush dolls.  They are cuddly and soft and he carries them with him in the car when we are out and about.  They are the perfect size to pack in his backpack and take with us on road trips.

I’m really enjoying watching my son playing with his Smurfs toys because it brings me back to the great times I had with the Smurfs when I was a child.  The entire Smurfs 2 line of collectible figures and plush toys is available now at retailers nationwide.  Don’t miss out on sharing this animated classic with your own children, especially now that the holidays are coming!

Hahaha! My late Husband’s name…my former name…my son’s name is Murph. Not the Irish, “Murphy,” but the German, “Murph.” If I just had a nickle for every time I heard “Murph the Smurf”… 🙂
The good thing is that my son always thought it was funny.

Saturday morning with the Smurfs were some of the best childhood memories that I have. I could watch the show and travel to that magical place with them. It was one of the rare cartoons that I was allowed to watch. I remember that my Grandmother and Grandfather used to decorate their tiny Christmas tree with Smurf ornaments. They even had the glasses and some of the action figures as well. As an adult I still love the Smurfs and I am happy to say that my kids enjoy them as well. 🙂

Oh wow, That does bring back memories. I watched the Smurfs with my children. They each had a favorite character. I remember my daughter complaining that there was only one girl Smurf and that was not fair to her. I reminded her she was my only daughter in a house full of boys so that was how life was.
