The creators of Ice Age have done it again with the debut of this year’s animated adventure EPIC on Blu-ray Combo Pack, Deluxe Edition Blu-ray, and DVD this August 20th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The film encourages families to bond with nature and to end the summer together in the great outdoors.
In the film, a teenager is transported to a magical world where a nature spirit named Queen Tara asks for her help in supporting the “Leafmen” in their quest to save their existence and ours from evil warriors. They all band together in order to save the world around a storyline that encompasses the beautiful message of reconnecting with nature.
EPIC features an all-star voice cast that includes Colin Farrell, Oscar® Winner Christoph Waltz, and Steven Tyler! Audiences are transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and evil takes place right before their eyes. This is the perfect summer adventure that kids can watch on their electronic devices while they are sitting outdoors enjoying the sounds of nature around them.
Here are some fun and creative activity sheets that kids can use their imaginations to have some fun with while they are watching the film:
The EPIC Blu-ray combo-pack includes Blu-ray, DVD and DigitalHD and comes complete with exclusives that will engage kids about the world around them, just in mind for keeping their minds sharp for back to school. It also includes special features such as giving them the unique perspective of what life as a person two inches tall would be like, to discovering all of the different bugs from the film. I Teach The Kids To Love And Enjoy The Great Outdoors By Encouraging Them To Get Out And Play , Explore And Discover. We Do Many Outdoor Activities Together As A Family, Trip To The Local Park Is Our Favorite!
My daughter is obsessed with camping, but we have not taken her yet. They are exploring more outdoors in the cooler months, which means less screen time!
i taught them to love and respect the outdoors
By taking them hiking
my little ones like to play a lot in the park and I took them to camp where there are many trees and the air is fresh and pure!
My kids love being outside without any encouragement and we take them on camping trips.
We like to take walks, or go on picnics in the summer.
Thanks!
we taught that Mother Nature is fragile and we have to take care of our planet to be healthy and thats why we clean beaches & parks year long
Yo llevo mis hijos al parque regularmente , dentro de nuestras vacasiones también siempre incluimos playas y bosques. Este año visitamos los Smoky Montains y tambien la playa en Puerto Rico y Florida.
My trio and I were avid campers (in the winter) and we enjoyed our visits with nature tremendously. Can’t wait to start the tradition w/the grandbabies. BB2U y gracias for the giveaway.
When my kids were small I’d go outside with them. Sometimes we’d do an imagination role play where I’d give them a skip rope and they’d sit on a the front steps and pretend they were riding a stage coach and the rope was their reins. They’d stop and explore the different states they went through. Sometimes we’d have a safari where we would put stuffed animals around and they’d explore and look through their binoculars and we’d always have a picnic lunch.
We enjoy going to the parks and also to just be outdoors. My grandson has loved planting flowers, catching bugs to look at them and he enjoys all outdoor activities.
Definitely going to the park was a big one when my son was smaller. I think just being outside and enjoying nature yourself makes them curious enough to join you.
We go for lots of walks and not the same route each time. I like pointing out the different trees, leaves, animals and such. My daughter loves nature, flowers and the outdoors.

We go camping a lot, which encourages them to be outside exploring and socializing with kids they might not have otherwise met. We also go to parks frequently. Thanks for the chance!
we take our kids on nature walks almost daily since we live near a creek
We take nature walks and also take camping trips. We show our kids how beautiful nature can be. We also let them know that it is important to take care of earth so that we might continue to enjoy its beauty.
We live near a wooded area that has paths that you can walk on. We like to take walks after dinner or on the weekends. Another thing that we like to do is ride bikes. Both are thinkg we can do as a family and also outside. Thanks
We go on hikes in the forest behind our house. I think that exposure at a young age helps with appreciation.
I like to teach my kids to recycle and to conserve water, it’s important to appreciate the outdoors with things like those as well as throwing away their garbage and not littering. I think spending time to look at the trees, rocks and all the wonderful outdoor beauties there are helps for them to have more respect for the outdoors and to appreciate it too.
I make them play outside every day.. also they live close to a beach so they are constantly at the beach during the day.
We love it! We go to parks, zoos, camping and more. Thanks for the chance.

My husband takes our grandsons fishing as often as he can. We also enjoy taking them to a neighborhood pond and feeding the ducks.
We take our kids camping in the summer. It is our favorite little getaways 🙂 my husband and son spend a lot of timing fishing. In the winter we live back onto a large trail so weather cooperating we all hike the trail 🙂
We go swimming at the lake and fishing and camping and we go for walks collect rocks
I don’t have kids. I do have a dog and he loves his morning walks 🙂
We like to take walks or ride bikes. Also we planted a flower garden. When the boys get old enough i am sure we will be camping often.
We try to spend a lot of time outdoors and taking walks. I also have nature scavenger hunts for my daughter to find different things in nature. We also recycle and I have always explained why we do it and how it helps the environment.

We live in an apartment so there is a small playground and we use it a lot .We have also done a lot of water balloons this year.
During the summer we try to take the kids camping and fishing. I also try to get them outside on their bikes or to the playground.
We love camping! We live in the country anyway, so our kids know how to deal with animals, plants and weather already.
We teach our children to appreciate the outdoors by many ways. One way is that we teach our children how to garden and work the land with hard work and using their own hands. We also teach them to respect the land by keeping clean of trash.
We take them outdoors on regular days and vacations. We also love documentaries on the great outdoors. And we teach them to respect animals and nature with our pets.
I live in the country so the outdoors is just a part of our everyday life. 🙂
showing them all the plants in the yard and letting them pick some out too – regnod(at)yahoo(d0t)com
Since we live out in the country, my son helps me take care of the garden and we do all kinds of yard-work together.
We like to take walks and go to the park just to get out of the house. We also try to go on vacations so we can see and experience different parts of the world.

We make sure we do things outdoors with our daughter at least 2 times a week. Even if it is just a walk in a park, or gardening. This week she is actually at a daycamp at the Piedmont Wildlife Center in Durham,NC and this week’s theme is “Nature Art” so they find things in nature all day long and do artistic things with them. A new way for her to appreciate the outdoors!
We take them camping quite a few times a year! They are young and are learning a lot about nature and respecting it as well!! They are quite adventurist and are enjoying it a lot!
We always try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. We go to the beach, the park and sometimes camping. We are always looking for new places to visit and sight see!
We go often to play at the local park. We also go walking on a walking trail.
Besides just playing outside, we also go on nature hikes. We don’t just walk, we stop and show them animal tracks, teach them how to tell different plants apart, things like that.
Thank you
I make sure that when we are walks they do not pull things off of tress, and they respect the nature around them. We like to go on the trails that we live by, and there is a nature trail that we go on a lot.
