Normally I am the mom who prides herself on always being prepared for whatever situation arises regarding my family. You will find everything from band-aids to sunblock in my purse on any given day and my husband and children have come to rely on my constant preparedness.
Last week, my family and I took a mini-vacation to a local water resort and, as usual, I packed all of our bags the night before and made sure that we would have all of the clothing and necessities that we required on this excursion. At least I thought I had packed all of the essentials…You see, when we settled into our lounge chairs by the pool, I realized that I had forgotten to pack sunblock.
You are probably wondering why I would forget to pack sunblock on a family vacation but there is actually a very good explanation. I expected us to spend all of our time in the indoor water park so it did not even occur to me to take sunblock.
Many consumers are unaware that although UV exposure is harmful, 80% of the sun’s damage comes from UVB rays and about 20% from UVA rays. This pattern is also true in the case of sunburn, skin aging, and even skin cancer. Neutrogena sunscreens contain Helioplex and are designed to protect you against the most damaging rays of the sun and give you the highest UVA protection that is available.
Luckily, I remembered that I had put a bag of Neutrogena sunscreens that I had received for review in my car that week. I used Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen on my boys and they loved it because it wasn’t oily or sticky and it smelled great. I loved that I could easily spray it all over them and that it was sweat and water resistant. Thank goodness I was able to save the day and protect them from the harmful effects of the sun’s rays.
Unfortunately, purchasing sunscreen is not within every mother’s financial means and that is why the Neutrogena Buy 1 + Donate 1 Campaign is donating one of their Neutrogena Suncare Line to a family in need for every purchase of one of their SPF containing products up to 10 million dollars. After all, we can’t protect them from everything in life but we can certainly protect them from the sun…

i love using neutrogena products they work so great and are affordable!
That is great that they are donating to families in need. It is so important to protect your children’s skin and your own.
Neutrogena has never disappointed me in their products and didn’t know they had a sunscreen. Good to know. I love their Neutrogena Buy 1 + Donate 1 Campaign
What a great idea the Buy 1+ Donate 1 is. I use Neutrogena sunblock and realize it is not in everyone’s means so this is an awesome campaign.
We love Neutrogena in our home and they work perfect for my family…. great idea for donating
