Today is the 4th of July and, while many of you are planning family barbecues or having gatherings with your loved ones, it’s important to remember the significance of this special day for this country. It is the birthday of our great nation and a great way to celebrate it is by letting freedom “bloom.”
Outback Steakhouse is honoring this special day by “letting freedom bloom” and offering a FREE Bloomin’ Onion to share with your family and friends at the table when you visit any participating Outback location within the 50 states. All you have to do to get this great deal is to tell your server to “Let freedom bloom!”

Outback has been supporting out troops, who safeguard the freedom we celebrate on this day, through Operation Homefront. For more than three years, they have donated over two million dollars to support our troops and their families. Its more than 6,500 volunteers provide emergency and other financial assistance to the families of service members and wounded soldiers.
Since its inception in 2002, it has met the needs of more than 741,000 military families and 94 percent of its donations do directly to programs that support our service people. After all, what freedom would we be celebrating on this 4th of July if we didn’t pay homage to the military personnel who safeguard that freedom daily?

My family and I will be spending our Fourth of July at a water resort but we will never take for granted the freedoms that we enjoy in this great country. So, from our family to yours, “Let Freedom Bloom!”
