When it comes to dressing warmly during the Winter, my boys drive me completely crazy. Sure, I always make sure that they have all the warm coats, hats, scarves, and gloves that they need to wear during the cold weather. Whether or not they actually wear them all the time or keep from losing them a few times throughout the season, is another story.
As you can see from the photo below, it can get quite cold and frosty during the winter months here in New York City. We experience cold conditions along with snow and freezing rain. It’s important to not only keep warm during this weather but to also look great doing it! When it comes to kids, nothing says fashionable like donning outerwear and accessories that have their favorite cartoon characters on them.
My younger son loves wearing his Angry Birds hat and, thank goodness, because it’s the only one he will wear this Winter! On the other hand, the best way to get my older son to cover his head during the cold months is by letting him wear caps of his favorite logos. Here they are keeping warm and looking handsome in their winter duds:
Here are some fashion tips to help your kids stay warm and look great during the Winter:
*Long-sleeved graphic shirts are a great way to keep your kids warm and to show off some of their favorite characters.
*Hoodies are very much in style right now so, for those kids who are resistant to wearing hats, layering with a hoodie will give them something cool and warm to pull over their head.
*When it comes to kids, stay away from the traditional winter blacks and browns and buy colorful outerwear and accessories.
*Adding some colorful laces to an otherwise dull pair of boots can liven them up and allow kids to express their individuality.
*Match hats, gloves, and scarves for a coordinated and pulled-together winter look!
Lastly, make sure that you have a Windows #HTC8X to take photos of all of your little Winter Fashionistas!
