This past weekend I had the pleasure of heading to my local JCPenney to choose the two potential outfits for my upcoming date night with my husband. Since my husband had to work Saturday, I took my two sons with me and we decided to make a day of it. As we were driving towards the store, I made a mental note to make sure to choose outfit options that are both stylish and true to my usual comfortable style.
As we entered the store I was pleased to see that the Liz Claiborne section was prominently displayed and very shopper friendly. As you can see from the following photos, not only was the display colorful and vibrant but also welcoming and comfortable. If you look closely enough, you can even see my six year old lounging on their modern white lounging chair.
I spent the first part of the hour perusing through the fabulous display of Liz Claiborne handbags and wallets. Not only was I impressed with the variety of the handbags but by their colors and style options. All of the handbags and wallets are made of quality materials and are hip and modern. This is the wallet that caught my eye and made it’s way home with me.
The sales associates were very eager to help me find exactly what I was looking for and directed me towards the second floor when I asked them where I could find the Liz Claiborne Plus Size Department. As soon as I got up there I started pulling clothes off the rack left and right. There were so many tops, pants, and dresses to choose from that I was in heaven! Here are some of the tops that I tried on that really caught my eye:

I liked these two but there were so many beautiful tops to choose from that I just could not make up my mind. As you can see, my nine year old was my photographer and I think he really did a great job of capturing the beautiful and versatile fabrics and looks of this line. At the end of the day, however, I had to make up my mind and narrow it down to two possible looks for my big date with Hubby that will be coming up soon. Decisions, decisions!
Two particular tops really made me fall in love. The first top, which is number one below, was really flattering because of its low neckline. Having a long neckline like that elongated my neck and made me look a little taller. I also loved the stretchy feel of the fabric and the pattern of the design. The second top, which is number 2 below, had a soft sweater feel and could be paired with a dressy tank top or chemise. I especially loved the silver threading throughout the embroidery because it added a bit of sparkle to the outfit which I could complement with some silver makeup.
