My six year old son loves to dance. It’s almost as if his body is unable to stay still when any kind of song is playing. No matter what he is doing at the time, he will jump up and start swaying back and forth to the melody. The entire family enjoys watching him go when we get together for the holidays!
His love of music and dance does not stop there. My husband and I have extensive home video collections of him dancing in places like the barber shop, the grocery store, and even in the backseat of the car. Lately, he even comes up with his own lyrics that he sings and dances to all day long. We have no doubt that he will continue to love singing and dancing for the rest of his life.
Curious George® is celebrating the arts by hosting a dance contest for kids that is guaranteed to get them up and moving. Let’s be honest, everyone loves to dance. Not only is it a great way to get great exercise, but it is also a way to express your individuality and show off some of your dancing skills. We are so happy to help PBS spread the word about this fun-filled contest.
To enter the contest, parents and guardians are invited to submit a video of their child dancing to the Curious George® theme song for a chance to be featured on the upcoming Curious George® DVD. All video submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges and 10 lucky finalists will be chosen. The judges will be looking for creativity, enthusiasm, and originality! The contest ends April 2nd.
Please visit CuriousGeorgeDanceContest.com for more information and to enter this exciting contest from PBS. If you have a little guy or girl like mine at home, they will love taking part in this contest and you will love the memories that you create together.
