Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked DVD Review and Giveaway

Recently, my sons and I had the opportunity to review the film Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked on DVD. We have always loved to watch the Chipmunks and Chipettes as they cause mischief and get into all types of adventures together. Their escapades usually cause us to laugh quite a bit and we enjoy getting an excuse to spend time together as a family.

The Chipmunks have the opportunity to join their caretaker, David Sevelle and the Chipettes on a cruise aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship. Since they are kids, they immediately go about turning the ship into their own personal play area. Although Dave tries to maintain some order, he is not able to confine the Chipmunks to their room so they quickly find themselves in a jam.

Their vacation quickly turns into a disaster when the Chipmunks, Dave, and the Carnival Cruise Pelican Mascot find themselves overboard. Ironically, the mascot ended up being their old manager Ian Hawke who is not at all happy at having been fired as their manager previously. Everybody ends us being “chipwrecked” on a remote island. As if that wasn’t enough, the Chipettes are also with them on this deserted island.

We loved watching the Chipmunks and Chipettes singing and dancing as they always do. They showcased a number of popular songs such as Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem.” My boys enjoyed singing along and dancing to the music. They also laughed out loud at the antics of their favorite furry little friends.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked will debut on March 27th on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
