For 25 years, Mega Bloks have been creating award-winning toys with great play value, specifically designed for little hands with big ideas.  Mega Bloks encourages children to discover their imagination and creativity.  Mega Bloks world of construction toys are meant to expand and grow just as children do.

Blok Squad buildable playsets introduce kids to everyday heroes with themes such as fire patrol, police, and construction. Blok Squad is perfect for kids, ages 5 and up, who have transitioned from mini blocks to micro blocks and are ready for more detailed builds.

For the purposes of this review we had the opportunity to choose from the Blok Squad Construction Set (featuring 218 pieces) or the Blok Squad Police Fire Patrol Rescue Set (with 190 pieces).  I asked my five year old son which set he would be more interested in playing with and he told me that he definitely wanted the Construction Set.  This really did not surprise me because he loves building things and using tools.

My son immediately loved the two construction vehicles and the fact that the construction workers, the vehicles, and the shovel on the Front Loader all had moving parts.  He worked together with my older son to put together all the pieces and enjoyed seeing all of the figures come to life.  My older son especially loved the hazard light accessories and the Front Loader.

This set was a big hit with my two sons, ages 5 and 8, and it is sure to be a big hit with the little guy in your life.  Make sure you visit the Mega Bloks website to see the large variety of construction toys, games & puzzles, arts & crafts and stationery.
