Gold Medal® White Whole Wheat Flour Review and Giveaway

Americans are always looking for ways to eat healthier and to add healthier food choices into their diets.  Lately, they have begun to realize that making simple choices like adding more whole grain to what they eat regularly can make a big difference in their lives.  Switching to Gold Medal® White Whole Wheat flour can help you bake and coat your foods with some of that whole grain goodness.

Unlike most whole wheat flours that are made from hard red spring wheat, Gold Medal® White Whole Wheat flour is made with hard white spring wheat. So, it’s whole grain, but with a similar taste and texture to all-purpose white flour.  This means that you don’t have to compromise taste in order to make better dietary choices.  You can use it in all of your favorite family recipes such as breads, pizza dough, cookies, muffins, and brownies.  It bakes up golden and has a lighter flavor on baked goods than conventional whole wheat flours.

Those of you who bake regularly can begin to make the switch by substituting whole wheat white flour for 25 to 50 percent of the recipe’s flour content.  You may wish to add an extra tablespoon or two of the liquid used in the recipe when substituting Gold Medal® White Whole Wheat flour or decrease the amount of flour by one to two tablespoon for recipes that call for all-purpose flour.  Before you know, you will have made a seamless transition in your recipes towards a healthier lifestyle.

I personally also like to use flour to coat some of my fish and meat recipes.  I found that the Gold Medal® White Wheat flour tasted delicious and my husband and sons didn’t even notice much of a taste difference when I substituted my regular flour with this newer one.  It definitely made me feel better that I was giving my family more food options which contain whole grains.  We didn’t have to sacrifice flavor at all and I can think of so many other recipes that I can incorporate these whole grains into.

You can find many classic recipes that include Gold Medal® White Wheat flour at the Betty Crocker website.  They know how to make adding even more whole grain into many of your foods even easier.  You can also like them on Facebook to keep track of new products, promotions and coupons.

looking for the Kroger brand! Thanks so much for you and your followers
for sharing information about ‘white wheat flour!’ I searched
everywhere on the net for a coupon. When I couldn’t find one, I
contacted the company. Here is their reply:

whole wheat flour. While we appreciate your comment, and your enthusiasm
for our products, it is not our policy to provide coupons upon request.
