Oransi-Robby Wash Laundry Ball Review and Giveaway

    The subject of laundry is one that comes up quite often in my home as we are a family of four and I normally do an average of one load per day.  No matter how often I do laundry, it never seems like I catch up on washing all of the dirty clothes.  Additionally, purchasing laundry detergent is a major expense for us so I jumped at the chance of reviewing the Robby Wash Ball.  The prospect of not having to buy detergent for up to twelve months sounded like music to my ears and my pocketbook.  It is advertised as replacing 75 lbs. of traditional laundry detergent and allowing you to wash clothes with it for one full year!

Description:

    I’m sure you are wondering, just like I was, how this could even be possible.  You see, the Robby Wash Ball uses a unique and patented technology to clean your laundry even better than the leading powder laundry detergent that it was tested against.  It contains macromolecules that gradually release their stain fighting power through the wash dissolving dried-in stains.  The combination of the motion of your washing machine drum and the ions that are released from the pellets help to lift stains and dissolve them in water.

Benefits:

*  It is hypoallergenic and can be used as a baby laundry detergent or for people with sensitive skin.

*  Protects clothes from oxidation and discoloration due to exposure to the chlorine in water.

*  Uses antibacterial action to eliminate unpleasant smells.

*   Ball is economical and environmentally friendly.

*  Chlorine and Phosphate free.

Review:

    I removed the Robby Wash Ball from the box and it was already filled with pellets to begin washing right away.  The product comes with the Robby Wash Ball in your choice of blue or pink, three washing pellet refill bags, and a stain removing stick.  Immediately I noticed how fresh the washing pellets and the stain stick smelled.  I have a large capacity washer and dryer so I did not fill the drum to capacity with dirty clothes as the recommended laundry load size is indicated as being 10 lbs.

    All of my clothing came out clean and soft to the touch but did not really smell like anything at all so I recommend using a fabric softener for those of you who enjoy a scent on your clean clothes.  Of course, this is perfect for washing my youngest son’s clothing since he has sensitive skin and is allergic to heavy perfumes.  I can see how this is a wonderful product for babies and those with allergies.

    After using the ball, I put it in a dry place so the washing pellets could dry off.  The ball can be used for two to three years and the refill pellets can be replaced by removing a small rubber stopper on the top of the washing ball.  The whole process is pretty easy and straightforward.  My only advice would be to make sure that you replace the rubber stopper carefully to make sure that the washing pellets don’t spill out into your wash.  All you have to do is push it in with your thumb and make sure all the edges are secure.

    The best thing about the Robby Wash Ball is that it is guaranteed to wash your clothes for 12 months.  Not having to purchase laundry detergent for a full year will save this family a whole lot of money.  Even better, Oransi, is giving one lucky reader of Tough Cookie Mommy their own Robby Wash Ball!

    I would LOVE the v-hepa plus air purifier.  This year my whole family’s allergies have been worse than usual, and a way to reduce the pollen, mold, and pet dander we’re breathing in would surely make a difference.  Of course the ionic fridge deodorizer is tempting, too – I hate a stinky fridge!  The laundry ball is the most exciting concept to me, though, because I also do a LOT of laundry, and I have somehow developed an allergy to all perfumes, so I’ve been making my own laundry detergent for two years.  It’s inexpensive, but it’s kind of a pain in the butt and I don’t feel like it gets my clothes as clean as the detergents I used to use. Great review and giveaway!
