My family and I love to play board games. It is a great way to spend quality time together and it allows us all to unwind after a long week of work and school. We always try to choose games that will challenge us and make us think as well as allow us to have a lot of fun. It is very important to make time to have this type of interaction with our families.
We had a great time playing the board game Jungle Speed! You have to be very observant and exhibit quick reflexes to play this game. The purpose of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all of your cards. During each turn, all of the players reveal one card. If two of the cards are the same, both of the players who threw them down must run to grab the totem that is in the middle of the table. The player who does not grab it first gets stuck picking up all of the cards that were thrown during that hand.
This might seem really easy but, there is a catch… Some cards appear to be identical but really aren’t causing players to rush to grab the totem when they shouldn’t be. Also, some cards cause all of the players to grab for the totem at the same time which is a recipe for a lot of laughter and giggles when you are playing with your children. The best part was that, while my children were playing Jungle Speed, they were actually using their minds and sharpening their senses.
Studies have shown that board games, like Jungle Speed, have a positive impact on children’s cognitive development skills and brain motor function. The game play also helps
kids develop valuable skills in patience, cooperation, concentration, teamwork and perseverance. These are all skills that all of our children will benefit from mastering and it is an added benefit that you can be a part of this process by playing Jungle Speed with them.
Jungle Speed retails for $19.99 and is intended for 2 to 10 players, ages 8 and up. It is currently the most popular game in Europe with over two million sold and is making its debut this month in the United States. It can be found at Toy”R”Us, Target, Walmart and other major and individual retailers across the country. The best part is that I am giving away Jungle Speed to one of you!

My family would like this because we love fun games together! Ruckus is another one with cards. My daughter also enjoys taking unique games to game day at day care to play with her friends. Not sure if my son would be ready for this yet – but as he gets older I look forward to full family game nights!

Hello! I am already a FB fan (3 Moms In 1). Entering the giveaway! Amelia is a bit too young for this one, but it sounds like fun! We can make it 3-yr-old friendly for a while until she can play with all the rules. Thx for the chance!
