Gabriel Cosmetics- “Clean Kids Naturally” Hair and Body Products Review and Giveaway

    Having two active boys, I can tell you that they make their share of messes and they get filthy faster than the blink of an eye.  We have always stressed the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene to both of our sons.  This includes bathing daily and maintaining proper hair care.  Unfortunately, both of our sons have very sensitive skin and we have to pay special attention to the bath and hair products that we purchase and allow them to use.  We have learned the hard way that certain products are too heavily perfumed or harsh and do not mix well with our sons’ delicate skin needs.

    That is why I jumped at the chance to review Clean Kids Naturally Hair and Body products by Gabriel Cosmetics.  All of the Clean Kids products boast that they are:

* Organic

* Contain no Sulfates

* Do not contain Parabens

* Gluten/Wheat Free

* Do not contain Phthalates

* No Fluoride/Glycol

* No Lanolin

* No Petrolatum

* No Mineral Oils

* No Artificial Colors

* Cruelty Free

    All of this was music to my ears because it guaranteed that their products would be sensitive to my sons’ skin care needs!

    I received four Clean Kids hair and body products to review, the Tropical Orange Burst Shampoo, the Banana Smoothie Detangler, the Tiny Bubbles Foaming Bath, and the Germ Bursting Liquid Soap.  As I pulled each 8 oz bottle out of the box, I could immediately smell the fresh scents permeating from each one.  Although each bottle smelled fresh and inviting, the scent was not overpowering.  I immediately called my sons over to smell everything and asked them if they wanted to go try them out by taking a bath.  Of course, they were thrilled to be able to jump into the tub and it allowed me to really evaluate the effectiveness of each product on the most important guinea pigs in my life.

    The Tropical Orange Burst Shampoo had a fresh and fruity scent.  What I loved about it is that it smelled yummy but had a clean scent which is suitable for boys and girls as opposed to being heavily perfumed.  Also, a small amount of shampoo lathered up fairly quickly which indicates that this is a product that will last and give you the best value for your dollar.  My sons loved that it was tearless which is a must-have in my house.  I didn’t hear one complaint about stinging eyes due to them having gotten soap into them.  They used the Banana Smoothie Detangler after washing their hair.  Since they are boys, we used it more to soften their hair and because it smelled great and not so much to detangle their hair.

    My boys also filled the tub up with the Tiny Bubbles Foaming Bath.  Although it contains the calming scent of Linden Blossom, I loved the hint of watermelon that I smelled when we poured it into their bath.  The tub immediately filled up with bubbles and these bubbles also did not irritate their eyes or dry out their skin.  Overall, the foaming bath had a somewhat feminine smell to it but my boys couldn’t care less about that as they frolicked around in all the bubbles.

    The last item I reviewed was the Germ Bursting Soap.  It contains fennel extract and washes away bacteria from kids’ hands.  I have to admit that the boys actually used it as a body wash without me even realizing it and it worked just as good as their regular body wash.  The fact that it contains Aloe Vera kept it from irritating their skin and they have used it in the tub and to wash their hands without any problems.  It smells great and I love that it is antibacterial.

    I was impressed with all four of the products that I tested and will be sure to order them again for my boys in the future.  It was wonderful to find organic products within a reasonable price range that were gentle enough for both of my boys to use daily.
