We all know that becoming a parent definitely changes your life, relationship, and your priorities. It definitely causes you to take inventory of the things that really matter and to do away with the things that don’t. I have never kept it a secret here that being a parent is extremely demanding and rewarding at the same time. Unfortunately, children do not come with a manual and new parents are often at a loss as to how to deal with some of the changes that parenthood brings with it.
Luckily, there are a wealth of resources out there on how to deal with everything from breastfeeding to potty training. It is very important, however, to maintain a sense of humor when addressing such topics as “Maintaining intimacy in your marriage after childbirth“, as it certainly becomes a real issue for most couples. It’s no real surprise that the demands of an infant can have an impact on how much time couples have to spend quality time together.
According to a new Evenflo Savvy Parents Survey, 47% of new moms say that they have less sex now than they did before having kids. Parents who participated in this survey also say that they had to make many adjustments in order to accommodate time in their schedule for intimacy. As a matter of fact, 25% of these parents stated that they had to schedule their quality time around their babies’ nap times.
Although this is a serious issue for couples, Evenflo has created the Savvy Parents Guide which contains a series of parodies which make light of some of the changes that parents go through after the birth of a child. It is an online destination featuring humorous webisodes, advice, support, and entertainment that moms and dads will find very useful. Parents can review all four videos online by checking out the Exersaucer Savvy Parents Series.
These webisodes support the re-launch of the new Evenflo ExerSaucer Jump & Learn and Double Fun activity centers designed with new shapes, colors, and textures that engage a baby’s senses, spark their imagination and encourage them to interact with others. Evenflo ExerSaucers are inspired and designed through a new partnership with the Child Development Institute to help babies learn and keep them safe and secure if mom or dad need to accomplish a quick task.
