Those of you who are regular readers of my blog know that one of my recent blogging goals was to reach out to my fellow bloggers and to continue reaching out to my loyal followers. Let’s be realistic, all of our blogs are merely specks on the internet super highway but for the support and recognition that we receive daily from our readers. They are the ones who are always there to read all about our thoughts and experiences and they selflessly give of themselves in the form of comments and feedback that validate us as writers and bloggers.
I am very lucky, in that respect, and I can honestly say that I have some wonderful followers who are always there to cheer me on and whom, without, this blog would not be possible. They are as diverse as they are supportive and they actually take time out of their busy lives to listen to what I have to say about my life juggling motherhood, marriage, a career as a Middle School English teacher, and many other things.
Every blogger.s dream is to develop a follower base of readers. This is when you realize that what you write about matters to others and that others can connect to what you are writing about. I have often wondered what I could do to demonstrate to my readers exactly how much they mean to me and what better way to do that than by featuring them right here for the rest of the world to see! So, without further ado, I give to you some of the followers of Tough Cookie Mommy. I know you will love them just as much as I do…
First, let me introduce you to my friend Daria from Mom In Management who is one of my most vocal and interactive readers. Daria and I have a lot in common because she is a working Mom just like I am and she wears many hats and juggles many roles. She has a way of making you feel like she really cares about what you have to say and never misses an opportunity to comment on my blog posts, status updates on Facebook, and even to Tweet back at me on Twitter. You will never be alone in the blogging world if Daria is part of your tribe and I am so thankful for her support.
Next, it is my pleasure to present another loyal follower of mine, the Zippy Chix Now, let me explain, the Zippy Chix are four really cool working Moms who have worked together in the education field for the past 11+ years. They love expressing their thoughts and ideas on a variety of topics that are specific to the struggles of working Moms. No matter what you are writing about, you can count on them to stop by and contribute their unique point of view to the discussion. You will quickly realize that they are sincere and very passionate about sharing their thoughts and feelings.
Lastly, but by no means least, I would like to talk to you about my friend, Kat, over at Kat’s Confessions Kat likes to write reviews, give her opinions, post pictures, and talk about her life experiences all on one blog. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that she is a proud Canadian Mommy Blogger and that she is not afraid to tell you how she really feels at all times. The thing that I love about having Kat as a follower is that I can always count on her to “give it to me straight” in all of her comments. As a matter of fact, Kat recently commented, on my recent post, Teachable Moment , that my son’s teacher “could use a good swift kick off her high horse!” You can’t buy this kind of real talk…
To these three ladies, and to my countless other readers and followers, I say “THANK YOU.” Your comments and feedback truly make my days. To the rest of you who are bloggers, remember where you started and who helped you get to where your blog is today. As my Grandmother used to say, “No man is an island.” We all need somebody sometime…
P.S. Remember to pass by and say “HI” to these three ladies and tell them Tough Cookie Mommy sent ya’!!!

You are so sweet! Thank you for thinking of me! And just for the record, I still think that teacher needs a good swift kick off her high horse! 🙂
Hi, Linda. I am so glad that you passed by. Thank you for the kind comments about my family, I really appreciate them. Daria really is such a caring and considerate blogger and I enjoy interacting with her regularly. It is definitely important to show gratitude to our readers because they are the ones who keep our blogs relevant. Please pass by anytime!
You guys are great too! I look forward to your feedback on my posts. It was my pleasure to "pay it forward" and to give recognition to some great readers.
Thank you, Erin. It is so important to give love and recognition to those faithful readers who keep coming back to validate your thoughts and feelings.
I'm glad you liked it, Kat, you are very welcome. Believe me, she needs a swift kick and thensome. Read my newest post and you will see the shenanigans that she is up to now. I had to go as far as writing a letter to the Principal.
I'm glad you enjoy reading my blog. Feel free to come back anytime you want!
I haven't heard of these blogs so I'll have to take a trip over to them soon! Thanks for sharing how great they are with the rest of us!
What a great way to say thank you to your friends! Will be checking their blogs too 😀
